It’s Tuesday but does it feel like Monday to anyone else besides me?! The good news is that we have a short week though! This morning I woke up early (thanks to Dexter meowing in my ear) and hit the gym for some cardio. Today I just stuck to the treadmill and did a 20 minute cardio workout, running for 15 minutes and speed walking on a steep incline for 5 minutes. When I got back I made the ultimate bowl of oats using 1/3 cup oats, 1/4 cup wheatberries, soymilk, dried cherries, the other half of my banana from this morning, peanut butter and drizzled with agave nectar. It hit the spot.
I got fun things at the store last night like new bread and cherries so I incorporated both in my lunch today. I packed a spinach/honey mustard/tofurky sandwich and a baggie of ripe, sweet cherries. For a snack later I packed a peach and a small baggie of Annie’s cinnamon bunnies (I snacked on a small bowl of these later last night as well—they are quite addicting!).
Good luck back at work (or school!) today. It’s always a challenge after a fun, long weekend but we can do it!
