Hey hey 🙂
Hope your Friday is goin well. Unfortunately the sun decided to disappear here (yet again) so it’s pretty gloomy outside. For lunch, I made a yummy egg pita!

I used 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 morningstarm farms soy sausage, about 2 tbsp goat cheese and sriracha. Mmmmmmmm Also had a sliced pear on the side.

I actually took an hour nap (felt amazing) and hit up both the bookstore AND the library. Finally got myself a library card and it’s perfect because the library is only about two blocks from my house. I checked out two books and bought one book for my long flight home next week!
Grabbed a nonfat mocha while on route—

+ a SCM cookie 🙂

Time to crack down and crank out a thousand words or so. Not sure what the plan is for this evening yet….hope you have something fun planned! 🙂

January 29, 2010 at 4:31 pmHave a great friday night! I love the library, I always leave with a bag full of books. Haha and then end up only reading 2, and paying overdue fines on everything else.
Yah, I’m on top of things.

January 29, 2010 at 4:48 pmI love the library and try to visit once a week. It’s so nice to have access to FREE books. I try not to buy many books because it can be $$ but do love having a houseful of books — just got a few new cookbooks I’m excited about diving into.

And oh how I love bookstores! 🙂 I could browse for hours. Especially with coffee in hand. But the library is awesome because it’s f-r-e-e and THAT is a good thing!

January 29, 2010 at 5:52 pmSounds like a productive day! Aren’t those the best? I love spending time in the bookstore, too. There’s just something so *calming* about it. I actually think it’s easier to do work there than in a quiet house. And it must be so motivating to be writing a book IN a bookstore! Keep at it girl, I can’t wait to read it =)=)

January 29, 2010 at 8:02 pmMy nap yesterday drained me, I forget the secret is an hour or less. I slept two hours! Glad yours made you feel better! 🙂 Sounds like a wonderfully restful day. I LOVE having a library card! I don’t know why I waited so long to get one.

January 29, 2010 at 8:05 pmI did so something fun tonight! My husband and I went out for dinner to our favourite bar where they are having a weekend-long Haiti fundraiser. All cocktails sold go directly towards Haitian relief, including three of their employees who were directly affected by the earthquake. Great food, cool drinks, fun, down to earth bartenders and all for a good cause! Made the sub zero temperatures seem better 🙂

Wanted to let you know I donated $20 for the Echelon Gran Fondo on behalf of my step father who has been battling secondary lung cancer, started as colon cancer, for about five years now. I hope you reach your goal! Good luck with your training.

January 30, 2010 at 8:58 amThe library is the best thing EVER! I was so thrilled when I finally realized how great it is at saving money. I always assumed the library didn’t have many options and didn’t carry new releases, health topic books, etc. A BIG tip is to search the catalog online and put books you want to read on hold. A lot of times you may not see them in the library, but can get them quickly when using hold requests. I always get my books that way now and it’s so easy.

January 30, 2010 at 12:26 pmI don’t know what I like more about this post–the wrap or the library bit! There’s only one national library here in Trinidad, and I really miss the neighborhood library and its vibe, boo….
Hope the writing went well!
