I adore these hot yoga towels from Luce Goods!
Lucie goes to my yoga studio and is the craftiest person I know. If I could only absorb 1/5th of her craftiness, maybe then I could learn how to work my sewing machine. Instead, I impulsively spend all my grocery money on chalk pastels that I’ve only used once.
I think I’ll stick to baking and let Lucie do the sewing.
And this cupcake towel? I die.
I stare at it every day when I go to yoga and haven’t bought it yet because I just bought two of her other towels, plus a lovely little rice filled savasana eye pillow that I use every day and love.
In case your wondering, I use Lucie’s towels instead of yogi-toes on my mat. I spread one out at the top of my mat and it helps my hands not to slip around when I’m doing downward facing dog. Plus, I just love to stare at pretty pretty retro fabrics when I’m dying in crow pose. It helps!
This post is clearly not sponsored by Luce Goods, nor did I receive anything special for blogging about it. One time last year, Lucie gave me a bunch of her old cycling clothes since I didn’t have any, and her boyfriend helped teach me how to successfully clip in and out of my bike pedals without breaking a leg. I went on to ride one hundred miles and have not set my butt on a bike since. All that really doesn’t have to do with anything other than the fact that Lucie rocks and so do these hot yoga towels.
The End.

January 26, 2011 at 11:56 amThey are so cute! One question though… are they skidless like yogitoes?
I’d love to lay a cute towel down on my yoga mat 🙂
jenna
January 26, 2011 at 12:02 pmwell, they’re just towels..so they stay on as well as a towel. But I’ve never had a problem with them skidding on my mat!

January 26, 2011 at 12:16 pmOmg those towels are sooooo cute!!!! I want some!!! They beat the microfiber towels I’ve been using for about 7-8 years by a long shot!
I think that being uber creative and doing yoga go hand in hand 🙂 Look at Lucy. and YOU too! 🙂

January 26, 2011 at 1:37 pmAre they just bath towels with a patch of fabric sewn on, or is there more to it? I feel like I’m missing something….
jenna
January 26, 2011 at 2:34 pmhahah I guess! They’re more like dish rag sized though…totally easy to make yourself if you are creative like that 😉

January 26, 2011 at 1:44 pmShe’s going to get a ridiculous amount of site traffic from this post. Hmm.

January 26, 2011 at 1:59 pmI was thinking that – and also that Jenna might get some nice gifts in return for praising their beauty! And who can blame her ! …I just want one to snuggle with 😉

January 26, 2011 at 2:27 pmuhhhgggg… can’t a girl talk about something they love without everything thinking about site traffic and getting gifts in return?!?!? Jenna specifically stated she was not getting anything for this, she was just talking about something that makes her happy!
jenna
January 26, 2011 at 2:32 pmvery true. I don’t ask or expect to receive anything for any positive reviews I write on the blog! I specifically state in the about me section that I don’t accept any free products in return for blog reviews and regularly turn down offers. I just wrote this because I bought two (with my own money) and love them! They are super cute and Lucie is wonderful. It’s the same when I write about books I buy and enjoy…nothing more! 🙂

January 26, 2011 at 3:26 pmSuch a great policy that you recently adopted, Jenna. It seems to me this is the most honorable approach. A no-gifts mantra instills readers’ trust in you. Now when you wax poetic about something, I know it comes from the heart, and I am much more likely to take notice of the product/service.

January 26, 2011 at 4:36 pmOh gosh – I’m sorry if you took my comment that way! I really didn’t mean it that way all! I was saying that they’re beautiful. And just making a joke that’s all…y’know like how celebs mention a product with no intentions and then get like 1000 boxes of cereal or something…

January 26, 2011 at 7:06 pm“I die” love it!
I’ve never tried a yoga towel before. How does it work compared to a regular yoga mat?
Amber
January 26, 2011 at 8:39 pmYou put the towel over your mat, so you use both at the same time (as far as I know). It helps to keep your hands/feet from sliding around on the mat, especially if you are doing hot yoga. Sounds like these towels are small, which would be good for hands, but you’d want a bigger towel if you need your feet to stay put.
