Looks and sounds good on this cold and dreary day:) MaryBe@AccidentallyVegan January 7, 2011 at 3:33 pm I just love your plate! (Your freezer – not so much!) Juniper January 7, 2011 at 4:17 pm Jenna, how do you select meats? I don’t have a Whole Foods or access to locally-raised goods. All I have is the local grocery chain. So, how do you decide what meats to select when there seems to be conflicting information on the best kinds, cuts, and sources? I really need to start eating more meat (at least twice a week). jenna January 7, 2011 at 4:20 pm I usually try to buy organic meat and look for grass fed, free-range beef! I buy most everything from Trader Joe’s and rarely go to Whole Foods..just because it’s too expensive. Jen January 8, 2011 at 6:34 am They only sell grain-fed meat around my small town and not organic. Is this good or not? I really don’t have much choice. I try to choose the cuts that are marked as free from antibiotics. But they still say grain-fed. Juniper January 8, 2011 at 10:40 am All of the chicken, turkey, and meat I buy are “Grain-Fed”. I was told that was perfectly acceptable given those are my options, so I continue to buy them. There are some “stewing beef” selections that are simply labelled “organic” that I might try in addition. They have no nutritional label on them, so I’m not sure. But I might just try different things anyway. I have to go with what is available to me, because I eat an abundance of it. Katherine: Unemployed January 7, 2011 at 4:33 pm sweatpants with elastic waist? that’s me today 🙂 Mabelle @ dance, love, dine January 7, 2011 at 4:51 pm Haha I know how you feel. I really wish I could stay home tonight but I have a friend’s bday party to go to. Im more of a homebody. Hillary [Nutrition Nut on the Run] January 7, 2011 at 5:12 pm I’m curious what that piece of dough (?) will turn into… Amber K January 7, 2011 at 5:16 pm I never would have thought to be put green superfood in the freezer! While I don’t eat meat, I am definitely thinking “bring on the sweatpants” tonight. 🙂 Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin January 7, 2011 at 5:35 pm I kind of wish I could stay in tonight and eat meatballs instead of going out to the bar with the girls! 😛 chelsey @ clean eating chelsey January 7, 2011 at 5:53 pm I’m all about friday night sweatpant nights! Sounds like my weekends! Nora@LifeLifeEatRight January 7, 2011 at 6:08 pm For a second I thought, “How did a picture of my freezer get here?!?!” I only cook for one so every time I make a meal for 6, cookie or muffin, I freeze it. This happens often so my tupper ware and plastic baggies are out of control. I try to reduce it by eating leftovers for lunch, but it just keeps piling up. I need a “spring cleaning” commitment. Lacey @ Lake Life January 7, 2011 at 7:55 pm How do you keep track of everything that’s in your freezer? Do you label your stuff? Justeen @ Blissful Baking January 7, 2011 at 9:06 pm mm yummy comfort food! i’m all about spending friday night in my sweatpants 🙂 J3nn (Jenn's Menu and Lifestyle Blog) January 8, 2011 at 1:37 am Oh, yes! Something about meatballs and pasta is very comforting. Just the smell of it cooking is soothing to me. 🙂 Sarah (Running to Slow Things Down) January 8, 2011 at 5:09 am I love a good bowl of meatballs. In my mind, the perfect meal would be a big ol’ bowl of them with a side of hot garlic bread for dipping. Pasta optional. 😀 Maria January 8, 2011 at 5:29 am Sounds amazing! mariaeatsbeets January 8, 2011 at 5:29 am sounds amazing!
