So crunchy, so sweet, so wholesome. Well, wholesome in the fact that I used real Irish butter, oats, brown sugar and raspberry jam. But if butter’s not wholesome, then what is, I ask? What is the world coming to these days anyway.
Recipe can be found here. I highly recommend you make these for your own wellbeing.
And, speaking of wellbeing, you should probably go ahead and make these, too, while you’re at it.
I saw this recipe a few days ago and knew if I made it, the boy would pretty much do whatever I said. I had to work in pretty severe conditions but the final outcome was worth it, I assure you.

Both of those looks SO GOOD. The raspberry bars may look a bit better, though. But that may have to do with my uber-powerful sweet tooth 😉
Courtney (Delightful Devours)July 14, 2010 at 8:16 pm
Ah, I think that would be equally as powerful on my husband! Thanks for the idea 😉

Looks like a good night! I used massive amounts of butter in my dinner too. It’s the only way to go!
Janna (janna's keeping it real)July 14, 2010 at 9:34 pm
I need to get on this butter bandwagon, because those look fantastic!
CaraJuly 14, 2010 at 9:46 pm
Those bars look great and so does the recipe. Do you think there could be a substitute for some of the butter? or is all the 3/4 necessary for recipe success?

Kristin (Cook, Bake and Nibble)July 15, 2010 at 4:42 am
Cream churned into butter couldn’t be MORE wholesome. It’s all natural, baby. 😀
And besides, butter is love.
Tracey @ I'm Not SuperhumanJuly 15, 2010 at 4:59 am
I usually hate Nutrigrain bars but I think this version could turn me. I’m pretty sure they won’t taste like plastic.
ChelseyJuly 15, 2010 at 5:02 am
