Well, we didn’t make it on the boat today. The weather is kind of overcast and R and I got sucked into running errands and now we are just relaxing on the couch watching the Masters (obviously!).
This morning while we were running around, I snacked on a HUGE apple and the rest of my cranberry Kombucha from yesterday
Lunch was the (semi) usual. Ryan got Quiznos and I got a yummy spread from my fave health food market. And I finally got that juice I was CRAVING…..this is a 16 oz carrot, apple, ginger, celery, beet and spinach juice
It was SO good. I need to get a juicer!!!! While the Vita Mix does juice, it doesn’t go all out to remove all the seeds and fruit/veggie “flesh”, making for a thicker juice.
I also got a large version of my favorite…kale salad! I don’t know what they do, but their kale salad runs circles around my kale salad. It is soooo yummy and very satisfying. I got their garlic-y signature hummus over top to increase the yum factor
Oh! And two of Abbie’s a-m-a-z-i-n-g donut holes!
All together now:
It was the perfect light lunch. And I’ll have a substantial protein-y snack in a little bit. We are tossing around dinner ideas now….options include grilling out here or going out for pizza, burgers, Cuban, Bonefish (my pick) or Pei Wei.

edited to add: Who was I kidding?! I need more carbs and protein in that meal. Not even 20 minutes after lunch I was STARVING (duh), so I had another piece of Ezekiel toast with almond butter for another 8 grams of protein and complex carbs. Now hopefully that combo in addition to lunch will hold me over til’ snacktime……hehe
