Good morning!
I’ve been waking up so early lately, despite not going to bed till late. What gives?! I have another long day ahead of me though although I’m anticipating it will be a little less crazy than yesterday at work because the weather is supposed to really turn today and we’re about to get a bad storm. If you’re in the area, come visit me at Michel Schlumberger for Winter Wineland! I’ll be Picabo again 🙂
Spent the majority of my morning paying all my bills (not fun, but necessary) and catching up on my google reader. Made a big bowl of chia oats for breakfast:

I’m out of bananas still (need to go to the store, stat!) so I just used 1/2 c oats, 1 c soymilk, 1 T chia seeds, 1 T almond butter and a drizzle of agave.

Not packing my lunch today because my boss is getting us deli sandwiches. I was mad that I already ate my boring pb&j yesterday when I saw how good those sandwiches looked! I’m sad I’ll miss church and yoga today. I haven’t done yoga in two days and I’m feeling rather tight. Already looking forward to class tomorrow morning!
Gotta go get my ski clothes on and head to work. See you tonight!

Oh and I missed church this morning because youth group (through church??!) scheduled a meeting that conflicted with mass… I though that was a little weird but whatever.

January 17, 2010 at 4:33 pmI am always sad when I run out of bananas for banana oatmeal.
And for missing church just get into the Word on your own. God is a forgiving God and understands.

January 17, 2010 at 5:11 pmGosh I have so many bananas too, I think I went overboard because they were reduced ;)!

January 17, 2010 at 5:33 pmHi Jenna,
I have been following your blog for some time now and really enjoy it. Love all of your creative food combos, etc. As an oatbran/oatmeal eater, I have been interested in adding egg whites to my bowls but don’t know when to add it in the cooking process. I always start adding my oatbran to my almond milk/water combo before I even heat it up and also add a thinly sliced banana in, then I start cooking and let it cook for awhile on the stovetop. Wasn’t sure when to add in the whites as I don’t want to end up with egg pieces floating in my bowl?
Thanks! Jonna
Katharine
January 17, 2010 at 6:00 pmI always have TOO many bananas and don’t eat them fast enough. Probably because I DON’T put them in oatmeal – I know, a total sin. I’m just afraid they will overwhelm the oatmeal, no?

January 17, 2010 at 6:48 pmBusy gal! Jenna – how do you feel about still blogging and stuff with all you got going on ?? Just curious – because I know your busy with writing and stuff – do you ever wonder if you should just focus on that – or does it not take up much of your time?…then again I guess your not working full-time!!
Pam (@ TotalHealthCounseling)
January 17, 2010 at 7:05 pmOatmeal is not complete without bananas 🙂 Still looks delicious though. I’ve become obsessed with almond butter, I think it’s my first love over peanut butter now. I blame you 😉
