hey ya!
Glad to hear there are some good ol’ SEC readers out there. No one out west seems to catch the drift.
This morning I snacked on some TJ’s trail mix on my way to yoga…

And then yoga…….&#^&^%@&%^
(no words)
Went to this new January series my studio is having called “TDY Bootcamp”. And bootcamp it twas. For 45 minutes we rocked out to blasting hip hop mashups and now I cannot move. Lots of jumping crow to chatarungas, plank push-ups, leap frog handstands, sun salutations and a series of 12 full wheels. Anna has been to three Baron Baptiste bootcamps and…yeah. You get the drift. She pretty much torched any enthusiasm I had at potentially attending a bootcamp in the future….going to a foreign place and getting your butt kicked every day, all day for 10 days. Yeah! Sign me up!!! we’ll see.
Then…I was so hungry! So I made a big salad.

Said monstrous salad consisted of organic greens, bell pepper, baby carrots, steamed tempeh, kabocha squash, hummus and sriracha.
Per usual, I was so excited to eat that this happened.

Sriracha on my foot. No big deal.
***
Just put on my BAMA shirt and I’m getting excited. I’ll be watching the game tonight with a group of friends while eating barbeque.
Enjoy!

I’ve never tried to steam tempeh before; I always stir-fry it in a skillet or eat it uncooked. I’ll have to try that soon!
Ameena

Paige@ RunningAroundNormal
January 7, 2010 at 3:16 pmHoly scariness. I would not have survived that bootcamp! Seeing as you made it out alive makes you hard core! Yikes.
Did you just steam the tempeh in water on the stove?
Heather @ The Joyful Kitchen

January 7, 2010 at 3:50 pmLOL I definitely thought you meant a Barack Obama shirt when you said “BAMA”! Haha I am clearly a Northern girl, so I am not familiar with SEC football but just thought you would get a laugh out of that 🙂
Have a fun time, hope your team wins!

January 7, 2010 at 4:09 pmSriracha on the feet just means serious spicy business, that’s all! Beautiful salad. I already half-ass the Yoga to the People podcasts, boot-camp sounds like something that’s in the far distant future for me. Maybe next lifetime distant future. Glad you made it out alive!
Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman
January 7, 2010 at 4:10 pmThat’s a hard-core workout. I love big salads, too. I just made one for dinner. Mine usually include any and all veggies in my fridge. They can get pretty wild, but so delicious.

January 7, 2010 at 4:30 pmwhen you talk about yoga , its like you are speaking in a foreign language. You and KERF are very busy people! Very unique lifestyles…everyone has a neat “job”…wish i could work a different job every day and try it all out 🙂

January 7, 2010 at 7:03 pmSorry, you felt disappointed re the SEC. I’ve been to the south many times. Some gorgeous places. Hope ‘Bama nails it!!
I DID get TJ’s Indian frozen foods you mentioned, really good! They had a new product today, ‘Trader Joe’San Rice Snaks [Yaki Onigiri] really good. Frozen food section, heart shaped rice snacks with soy sauce, hmmm.
I’ll be relocating to France about the time your book comes out…can’t wait to read it. Hopefully on the way over. France was just selected [for the 5th year in the row] as the #1 country in the world out of 194 for the best quality of life on the planet. Yeah! http://tinyurl.com/oe4ezq Love TJs trail-mix, too! The one w/lots of cranberries & cashews.
Am really sorry you didn’t get to the Rose Bowl, but hope enjoy game on TV, and that ‘Bama wins! I did post/Twitter but the tickets were like $275-400 so can see why people didn’t step-up!’ Oh well….missed the horrendous traffic!! Another day. 🙂

January 11, 2010 at 10:51 amThat TJ’s trail mix is dane-ger-ous! I guess it’s called “Tempting Trail Mix” for a reason. Alls I know is that I opened the bag and 15 minutes later half of it was gone… Don’t snack and blog!
