Good morning!
Gosh, I’m in a great mood. I drank a delicious green monster for breakfast, went to coffee with a really cute boy and am currently baking banana bread. And its only 8:30! π Life is good.

In my smoothie went a frozen banana, spinach, 1 cup almond milk, 1 T peanut butter, 1 scoop chocolate amazing meal and some ice. Felt good to drink my greens after such an indulgent weekend!
My house smells aaaamazing right now with the banana bread in the oven. My favorite recipe of all time is Tessa Kiros’ recipe out of the Apples for Jam cookbook. I’ve experimented with so many different banana bread recipes and always come back to this. It uses a touch of butter, a ton of cinnamon and dark brown sugar. So, so good.
I’m about to get ready and head to the studio to work the desk for a few hours then come back, go for a bike ride and work on some editing.
I’m going on SPRING BREAK on Thursday (aka going to the Lowcountry for a week)…clearly I think I’m still in college or something. π

March 29, 2010 at 9:17 amIt’s nice to find a tried and true recipe, especially for something that can really vary in its tastiness, like banana bread! It’s so nice to have days that get off to such a great start — I’m glad you’re having one of those days!

March 29, 2010 at 9:27 amCoffee with a cute boy!? You KNOW that’s going to get some curious comments π
Jenna, do you think you’d ever like to teach? I was just wondering b/c of the spring break comment…when you teach, it’s kind of like you’re a student b/c you still get all the breaks they do π

March 29, 2010 at 9:28 amBanana bread is my version of comfort food~ I love adding walnuts and chocolate chips too! Amazing~!!
I don’t know if my comment ever went through before(my work computer is slower than molasses) but I was hoping before you left California for good in May or June you might want to do a meet up with local bloggers and readers…I am both! Have a great week! I’m a teacher and a grad student so Spring Break is still and always will be AWESOME π

March 29, 2010 at 10:35 amWhat a killer start to your day! I’m a little envious, as my morning involved an early rising for work, a head filled with snot, and no cute boys. Banana bread is the best way to sweeten the aroma of a household! Thanks for the recipe recommendation. Enjoy the rest of your blissful day!

March 29, 2010 at 11:26 amI really need to try that green drink you make often! I’ve just gotten into blending up drinks. My favorite is chocolate peanut butter banana……I should start adding some greens! I also want to say that I’m kind of new to your blog, and was reading through older posts. I’m currently going through relationship woes (bf and live-in boyfriend of two years bought a house while I was working in Belize and invited two of his friends to live there without asking me!) and it was nice to read how you made it through your own relationship woes:)

March 29, 2010 at 3:48 pmPost pics of the bread!! Ugh – I ate way too many caramel mini cup-cakes after work …and now feel super icky and mad (it was on a whim – as usual)…I hate that I do that because it’s not just “Every now and then” – at least the food you eat is quality and not just sugar crap!!
Boo. Have a great day.
