My Brain (and car) is Fried

Hi guys, sorry for my late post!

You are never going to believe what happened to me today…….I was SO tired that I accidentally left my car in drive and just yanked the keys out of the ignition at my house before going inside……the next thing I know, my car has rolled backwards FAST out into the street and crashed into the neighbor across the street’s brick wall. Needless to say, her wall is smashed and my car has a HUGE gaping hole in the bumper but thank God nothing more than that happened. My car landed one inch from smashing into a huge van! Now THAT would have been a disaster.

Getting back to the start of my day though for a second, I started strong with a naner + pb:

And then my typical blueberry chocolate oatmeal for breakkie:

Yall will have to excuse me because I actually got so upset about my car that I forgot to photograph my lunch! I had a sunflower flax whole wheat roll from work, cottage cheese and a plum—it was quite good but sadly not very much enjoyed because of the circumstances. I did take a reenactment though once I had calmed down. I got some new cottage cheese from work the other day and was excited to finally give it a try—-

img_4940

It was good! I still like whipped cottage cheese the best just ’cause its soooo creamy, but this was interesting and I liked the cute little yogurt sized cup it was in!

I don’t have a picture of my roll because I only bought one 🙁 It was yummy though and full of nuts, seeds and good grains! Here is my plum though. It was perfectly ripe and delicious.

After I ate and recovered my composure a bit, I headed down to Starbucks to actually meet my pastor for coffee (or, in my case, a tall iced nonfat vanilla rooibos latte)! Apparently, he found out through the church grapevine that I am a bread baker and he just happened to be in the middle of planning his series of messages for Lent, called “Bread for the Journey”. Bread will be very symbolic throughout the messages in a life giving sense as he preaches about spiritual gifts and discipline. And that’s where I will come in! I’m going to be helping him out for the month of March….doing all the “bread stuff”. I think one Sunday he is going to “interview” me in front of the congregation on what actually goes into baking bread and maybe have me kneading bread or something. And then another Sunday I think I’ll actually be baking bread at church in the kitchen and handing it out during the service. Interesting, no?

Around 2:30, I met Sarah for about a 35 minute walk. I could NOT sleep last night for the life of me (I’m blaming it on the excess caffeine in the excedrin migraine) and didn’t fall asleep until probably 9:45…..and then I woke up (and stayed up) at 2:40. I was going to do yoga but needed some girl time! We walked pretty briskly and I felt a lot better afterwards.

And then for dinner, I kept it classy with a simple favorite of mine and had Tandoori Chef’s Vegetable Pad Thai and a salad with woodstock dressing. Oh how I just adore this frozen entree. It seriously tastes EXACTLY like Thai take out and makes me think I’m being really trashy when its not all that bad for you! However, my dad borrowed my camera today and it seems like some sizes of the photos were messed with and WordPress won’t let me upload right now! I have no idea why or how, but my brain is just fried right now so I’m going to let it go and just be back tomorrow when I’m in a better state. I hope yall understand!

See you tomorrow! Please forgive me for the blah-ish post!! 🙁

Awww noooo. This is crazy! I accidently reversed a little too much and tapped (understatement) a car today getting out of a tiny space. That makes two of us. We’ll stick together in our bad day.
Not to mention, couldn’t sleep last night due to huge headache that won’t go away still.
This just means tomorrow will be that much better.
    Huge hugs.

Jenna, you poor thing! Not the best day, but I think things can only get better from here…….
If it makes you feel any better, 5 hours of sleep sounds like pure luxury to me. I average 3-4 hours a night, always have. I guess i’m just used to it by now, perpetual insomnia 🙂
I also wanted to give you a little tip on those Rachel’s cottage cheeses; I had the sun dried tomato pesto flavor the other day and I do NOT reccomend! I was very excited to try it, and then…blah. Haven’t had any of the other flavors yet, but there was definitley something not quite right about the sun dried pesto one……just an FYI!

Oh Jenna I’m really sorry about the car! I had a very similiar thing happen to me once.
My parents came to meet me at work for lunch, I was running late getting to the restaurant so I quickly parked and walked inside, at the table I kept hearing the waiters asking other people if they had a red vw jetta, I figured it’s a common car it probably isn’t mine, when the waiter finally asked me I said yes and he asked me if I could repark it because I was “kind of parked on an angle.” I walked out and there was my car in the middle of the parking lot blocking people from coming in or out!!! I drove a stick shift and apparently in my rush I forgot to put the e-brake on when I got out. It was so embarrassing, and I was so lucky it didn’t hit another car or go through the glass of the place.
I hope that makes you feel better, it’s a mistake that can happen to any of us!
