Breakfast

Nutty

Happy Sunday!

This morning I decided to dig in to the Nuttzo sample I was sent on Friday…please disregard the fact that there is clearly a cat looming in the background of this photo.

I promised you food photos. I never promised you sanitation.
I know Kath looooves this stuff so I was very anxious to try it myself! The nut butter is made from a variety of nuts, including peanuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, brazil nuts (my favorite!), cashews, flaxseeds and hazelnuts. There’s no added sugar so it seemed pretty healthy. My favorite part? The nut chunks! I LOVE crunchy nut butter!

I stirred a spoonful into my overnight oats and enjoyed every last thick, creamy, cool and crunchy bite.

I also had a mutilated grapefruit but I just can’t get myself to show it to y’all. There’s like a .06% that one of my old chef instructors from culinary school reads this blog, and I would have to hide my head in shame if he saw the destruction I had caused.
I’m going to write for a couple hours before heading to church and a picnic. I do love me a good church picnic.
Have a sunny day!

Everyone keeps posting about their favorite nut butters and it makes me sad, b/c I think I’m allergic or at least sensitive to nuts. Seeing all these delicious posts makes me want to run to the Doctor’s office and have an allergy test done (or at the very least, stock up on a supply of Benadryl).

Loving the cat pic paws! My dog definitely hovers around when the BF opens a jar of peanut butter =)

    Have a wonderful Sunday

I had the most beautiful orange EVER in my hand today and by the time I got it to an unpeeled state fit for eating it was a destroyed mess. I felt really guilty and horrible about it for some reason, and then I ate it and got over it.

May I ask how on earth you got your Nuttzo!? I’ve been searching for weeks, but it’s sold out everywhere. And the grapefruit part is funny. By the way, Nuttzo PF is the bomb. 😉

Just saw Nutzo in my local healthfood store and was thinking about grabbing it… been seeing it on KERF for ages. And I have to admit, I think it’s time to try some. First, I need to stop eating skippy natural… I think I’m addicted.

Nutzo is really good, although I haven’t bought it yet. I just tried it last week at Kath’s house. I’m having trouble justifying the price, but I’m sure I’ll get there soon enough. Have fun at your church picnic. I haven’t been to one of those in way too long!

LOL- I am a clean freak but a Dexter up near the food–a problem with that? Naw. Even his widdle paws are the cuteness. A bit of the sun is peaking out. June is fog month on much of the Northern California coast–but this year am not complaining. At least our sea hasn’t been powerwashed by BP’s oil. Nutty butter. YUM!

There’s a big church Founder’s Day festival at the Carmel Mission today, too. The founder was Father Junipero Serra who founded most of California Missions when the Golden State was under Spanish rule. His office was in this Mission, and he is buried here.

I’m VERY tempted to buy the $12 nut butter but is it really really worth it?! Or does it just taste similar enough to other nut butter?

Ive been reading about Nuttzo EVERYWHERE! In all the healthy living/foodie blogs, but also in the blogs of a lot of professional triathletes! That many people can’t be wrong, I think I have to jump on that bandwagon!
