Guess who’s back in sunny California??!

Kevin’s back in town for Pigs & Pinot and it’s going to be a blast! If you don’t remember we pretty much became bff last fall when him and Eli came in town for a Murphy-Goode Top Chef event and I kept crashing their hotel breakfasts at Hotel Healdsburg (what, I love their granola!). I’m actually going to a couple Pigs & Pinot events this weekend and I’m totally stoked about it. Lots of good eatin’ this weekend, fo’sho 😉
So, I picked him up from the airport and we decided to get our Indian on at Dosa. Everything was SO good…I don’t even know what all we ordered or what I ate, but here are some fun pictures.

This much food is clearly not for the faint of heart. And what better way to cap it off than with a delicious Blue Bottle cappuccino?

The weather is SO NICE OUTSIDE!!!!!!!! I think there are some wine tastings in my future this afternoon (yes, I’m starting the weekend a wee bit early) and then Scopa tonight. Lots more pictures to come…stay tuned!

March 18, 2010 at 4:13 pmFYI, you had (in order):
rasam, chaat (a generic term for this variant of snacky Indian food), vadas with chutney, dosa and something unknown to me. It’s a crazy coincidence because I happen to be making part of one of those very items for dinner tonight! Looks fabulous 🙂

March 19, 2010 at 7:39 amSo awesome you know Kevin! The little puffy things are called pani puri – you stuff them one at a time with chickpeas, the potato mixture, sometimes yogurt, and then fill them with a sweet/sour/spicy mint based liquid and have to eat them right away. Delicious!
