Happy Friday!
A bunch of you have remarked about my brother’s beach memorial so I just wanted you to know that its tomorrow, not today. Today my parents are driving over to Vero in the morning and Ryan and I are leaving at 4:00 and then we are staying the night there and the memorial is set for 10:00 tomorrow morning at the beach. I think about 30 of his friends will be there but I’m getting a little worried because the weather is called for thunderstorms. Say a prayer!
So, this morning I had the best bowl of cereal.

This would be one cup of Optimum cereal mixed with some cinnamon oatmeal squares in almond milk. Yuuuuuuum. Had the last of my honeydew melon the side!

As per usual, I am going to my favorite Friday morning spinning class at the gym. The class is “ultimate spin” and incorporates 40 minutes of INTENSE spinning followed by strength moves, such as push-ups, kick-backs and crunches, on the floor. I always leave a sopping wet mess but feel so good for the rest of the day. Hopefully the steam room is fixed because I would adore a steam this morning!
As for the rest of the day, I will trying to jam pack everything in so Ryan and I can leave on time. Nothing like a fun 2 1/2 hour drive during rush hour, eh?
See you for lunch!

Breakfast looks delicious…a bowl of cereal just hits the right spot, sometimes. 😀 And I haven’t had honeydew in forever. Mmm….

June 5, 2009 at 6:03 amMe, being the annoyingly optimistic person that I am: If it rains the surf will be better. Your brother would like that.
I’ll be praying for you and your family.

June 5, 2009 at 6:11 amI hope you have good weather for tomorrow.
Thas Spinning class sounds awesome! Spinning is my favorite group exercise. I used to teach it 5+ times a week last year, before I had my baby. Now I have my own bike in the basement. It’s not quite as fun that way, but it’s better than nothing! 🙂

June 5, 2009 at 7:03 amHi Jenna,
The weather will play out how it is supposed to! You can’t always go with the forecast. We were supposed to get thunderstorms on the day of my grandmothers funeral and we ended up with her favorite “Brewster Blue” skies and 65 degree day the first weekend in December in New England!
I’m gonna be making myself a green monster tomorrow morning, but not protein powder! Any suggestions for amping up the protein? And will peanut butter taste as good as almond? They dont sell almond butter in my grocery store… POOEY!

June 5, 2009 at 7:24 amYummy!!! I just love mixing Optimum with other cereals! Which variety is that? I love Optimum Slim, but I just bought the blueberry and can’t wait to try it out.
I’m definitely keeping my fingers crossed that you have perfect weather. However, I’m sure no matter what the weather is like, it will be a beautiful ceremony to remember your brother. 🙂

On another note, I tried the most recent Dave Farmar podcast yeasterday…you were right! So hard! Its taking a significant amount of energy for me to lift my arms to the keyboard and type this right now. I love that feeling!

That cereal does look divine. I need to try it when the weather is too hot for oatmeal. I hope that drive is not too painful!
