Cool Kids Hang Upside Down

I love days when you truly feel productive and have something to show for your efforts. That was me this afternoon but unfortunately my productivity was not directed in the most fun manner……getting your loan payments squared away is anything but fun! I had been dreading this day for the past two years but couldn’t push it any further back. Here’s to being in debt for the next 25 years! Woohoo!

I got to sit on the phone with some woman in India for about an hour while she helped me square away my loans and authorize an automatic withdrawal from my checking account each money. Double ouch. Looks like Whole Foods is not an option for, oh, the next 50 years?

While I got everything squared away I snacked on an ooey gooey toasted Kashi Go Lean waffle with Naturally More and raspberry preserves. At least eating that was fun!

And then after a solid few hours of staring at my laptop I knew I needed a break. I did about 12 minutes of a Lunchtime Flow Yoga Download followed by headstand and felt about 200 times better. Everything seems clearer after you’ve been upside down for awhile. 😉

Since both Ryan and my mom were working late this eve ning my dad and I took the opportunity to have a father daughter date at GrillSmith, a casual but very yummy restaurant in South Tampa. I started off with a lovely glass of pinot—

And ordered the Bourbon Salmon Salad for my entree.

This was absolutely delicious! The glaze on the salmon was spicy and sweet at the same time and the fish was cooked perfectly. I would go back to GrillSmith JUST for this salad; it was that good. I cleaned my plate!
My dad ordered some sort of chicken portobello stack with signature mashed potatoes on the side. He said it was great as well!

I was pretty full when I got home but nevertheless reached for a little something sweet to end my day!

My withdrawal from chocolate got too much today and I stopped at the health food store and bought a bar of the good stuff—organic extra dark. Love it. Along with one of Julia’s amazing vegan gluten-free maple cookies, it was the perfect little dessert.
I’m frantically returning emails right now! I think no matter what, I’ll always be a day behind it seems. Must keep going!!

Girl, you are just GLOWING in all of your pictures lately. You look gorgeous!!! I’m convinced that Green Monsters are the reason =)

Glad you had a great dinner with Dad. I LOVE Grillsmith. Must go there soon. YUM!

Oh Jenna, I totally feel you on the student loans! I just applied for my loans for my first year of law school last night and I was having a mild panic attack looking at all the zeros after that 5. It’s so scary to be in debt, but you can pay it off, no matter how slow it seems! (Plus, chocolate helps everything. Especially extra dark!)

I have to say that I love your blog and have been so inspired to start my own. That plate of chocolate and cookie looks divine and that salmon has lovely grill marks! I’ve also have a major craving for some waffles. Maybe I should get some this weekend ;)? Sorry to hear about those loan payments though :(.

What a nice time out with you dad 🙂 I wish my dad lived closer. That dinner you had looked delicious and just yesterday I bought some Naturally More PB after seeing it here on your site. I hope I like it! I’m a little scared about the flax oil and omega in it. The last time I bought Smart Balance butter with that stuff in it I could definitely taste the stuff in the butter. We’ll see. I’m a PB freak, and so is the boyfriend, but he refuses to try it. I think I’m going to sneak it into his PB sandwich one day and see if he notices BWAHAHAHA

I hear you on that chocolate withdrawal.
My favorite bar to keep handy is the chocolove with dried cherries and almonds. But WF never has it, and I am out and I am sad 🙁
I wonder if I order some online if they will be all melty when they get here? Oh man you know you’re a chocoholic when…
