Happy Sunday 🙂
You’ll have to excuse my belated post….I’ve actually been trying my hardest NOT to be on the computer today for a little rest. Honestly, last week sort of sucked me dry physically and emotionally and I feel incredibly exhausted today. Instead of being on the computer, I’ve been at church, cleaning and reading. Today feels like such a calm day.
I had breakfast as I was running out the door–-a toasted Ezekiel muffin with almond butter, preserves and a kiwi—

For the first time in my life I am NOT craving breakfast foods! Usually I love breakfast but lately nothing is sounding good to me. Odd indeed!
My dad and I went to church together and I met Jessica and Sarah there for the early contemporary service. It was exactly what I needed to hear this morning and I have good feelings for the week to come.
My lunch wasn’t the most photogenic thing ever but I was mid cleaning and it tasted awesome!

One of my favorite Morningstar farms black bean burgers with tons of hot sauce and melted cheddar cheese in a whole wheat pita. You just can’t beat it, folks. You can’t beat it. 🙂
I hope y’all are enjoying your Sunday—this evening I am heading to Anne P’s house for dinner! I feel like its a date because I am meeting her parents for the first time. Hehe
See you later!

August 9, 2009 at 1:47 pmWhen life’s crazy (busy, or just emotionally exhausting) it’s hard for me to get myself to church-but it’s always worth it! Enjoy your day!

It’s amazing what church at the end of a long week can do. Enjoy the rest of your day!

August 9, 2009 at 2:23 pmI haven’t been craving certain things either. I think it’s the heat. Mornings have been mostly eggs and toast as opposed to something on the sweet side. Go with the flowwww.

August 9, 2009 at 2:31 pmYou are absolutely “allowed” to take a break from the computer whenever you want! Especially right now you need to take care of yourself and honor what your mind, body, and soul need. I think we all go through phases with food – I go on and off of eggs randomly.

August 9, 2009 at 3:02 pmSunday’s always calm me! Costco has “My Life in France” for 11.99. It is memoirs from Julia Childs. It is a great read especially for those bubble bath’s. I haven’t seen the movie but the book about her life told by her is amazing. If you get a chance you should give it a read, I think you would love it!! Enjoy your relaxing, spiritual day!

August 9, 2009 at 3:15 pmI love that you have Anne P nearby to hang out with! In my experience, nothing is better for getting through a break-up than a great girlfriend to lean on 🙂

August 9, 2009 at 3:26 pmI didn’t really know Morningstar made anything that wasn’t fake meat. Although I guess if they’re calling them burgers, they’re fake meat in a way… but still, they’re black bean, not a bunch of junky processed soy. I’m going to have to try them!

August 9, 2009 at 3:41 pmThat watermelon is photogenic enough for the whole lunch 🙂 glad you’re getting away from the computer…it’ll always be there for ya, but we all need to “unplug” every once in a while

August 9, 2009 at 5:01 pmmmm, i love those black bean burgers – they make me nostalgic for summer 2006. i had a black bean burger + veggies + ketchup on bread nearly every single day that summer. i was also living at home with my fam. it was a pretty great situation 🙂

August 9, 2009 at 5:16 pmI’ll have to try the Black Bean Burgers…thanks for the tip. I eat weird too…..nothing till 3PM but OJ & tea and then a ceasar salad. C’est la vie! Off to the beach.

August 9, 2009 at 5:53 pmI’m new to your site, but I’m glad to hear that you attend church. That made me really excited (I am also a Christian!). Please do indeed allow yourself to rest on the Sabbath – that is what it was made for. 🙂
Thanks for showing the food doesn’t have to be dreaded – it is a creation to be enjoyed.

August 10, 2009 at 10:30 amI have Amy burgers all the time and they are fantastic … love the taste. It’s too bad we don’t get a lot of the same stuff the states does, here in Canada.
Yay for rest days!
