Hey guys!
Just got home from dinner at Anne P’s house!

We had an AWESOME dinner! To start, salad with avocado, olives and cherry tomatoes

A soft sweet Parker house roll—

And then for dinner, macadamia encrusted Mahi with risotto and green beans. SO good!

I probably ate half of the mahi, most of the risotto and half of the green beans. Everything was truly yummy. I love nut encrusted fish…this was slightly sweet and very crunchy!
Vino—

And of course, dessert!

This was a parfait with whipped cream, orange sherbet and fresh berries. My kind of dessert…I loved it!
We, of course, were stuffed afterwards so I walked with her and her parents down near the water and on the pier. It was seriously windy…note to self: don’t wear sundress in severe wind 😉
I’m about to get in my jammies and read. I finally put everything away today and set up my room!

Obviously this mature 24 year old sleeps with stuffed rabbits. Gosh. When I fall asleep at night I like to stare up at my map and plan my future trip around the world 😉

That dinner looks seriously to die for – fish is one of my favourite foods in the whole world, and the idea of having it encrusted with macadamia nuts? Bliss.

August 9, 2009 at 11:52 pmYou can never have too many stuffed animals! Or pillows for that matter! No matter how old you are. Problem being I don’t have room for stuffed animals ‘cuz I have a big fat white cat that somehow takes up half the bed!

August 10, 2009 at 12:05 amNo shame in the bunny love. 🙂 I’m living with my parents (also 24) and will be doing so for at least the next year, partly to save money while I’m in grad school, but also because I’ve been having health problems and need the support. And I sleep with my teddy in the bed every night – if something makes you smile and gives you comfort, why not.

August 10, 2009 at 10:05 amI realize this room is reminiscent of your own childhood. But, the design is something that I would choose for my own daughter’s room. It’s so sweet and whimsicle. It must be comforting to be back home 🙂

August 10, 2009 at 10:34 amThat fish looks amazing! I’ve never tried cooking fish with a nut crust, but I’ll have to try.
And your room looks lovely! I would so have a stuffed animal on my bed if my cat’s didn’t always pull them down (thus leaving them with the dogs to rip apart!). And I love your map – it must give you great dreams!

August 10, 2009 at 4:13 pmLove all the photos. I’m going to post the salad photo on my FB page credited back to your blog. Assume that’s OK, if not, please say!
My son went to HS in Aix-en-Provence. You’d love it there and that would be a great place to take pictures. There’s a large ex-pat community. Maybe someday you and a friend could rent a small apt somewhere like that and have another adventure! BTW he loved it so much that went to grad school in Paris, became a citizen and never left.
