Breakfast

Rise and Shine!

Good Morning!

This morning I some oatmeal with 5 grams sliced almonds, 10 grams walnuts and 1 medium banana. I used half skim milk and half water and it was very satisfying! I used to add almonds a lot to my oats then stopped when I realized just how amazing peanut butter tasted it in them but since I’m away from my apartment (and my all natural peanut butter) and the boyfriend just likes skippy….I packed some almonds/walnuts to go!

I’m not sure what the rest of the day entails–I have to drive back to Orlando sometime in the late morning, early afternoon to work tonight though. Hopefully I will have a chance to work on this blog a little more though because I’m dying to get all these new pictures up for you guys!!

How many almonds and walnuts are in a gram? For example how many do you add to your oatmeal of each? Thanks!

    Amy,

Usually in my oatmeal I just add 1 tablespoon of natural, organic peanut butter (the kind you grind yourself). Some days however I do add walnuts and when I do I add about 5 whole nuts (roughly 10 grams). 5 grams of sliced almonds equals about a tablespoon. And sometimes I like to add both peanut butter and walnuts! When I do that I add about 2 tsp peanut butter and 5 walnuts. It’s so good! 🙂
