Breakfast

Simple Sammie

Ryan surprised me this morning by having some new waffles in the freezer for me! He bought me Van’s Flax waffles and they sure were tasty! We are all out of fruit so I just made a simple waffle sandwich with 2 waffles sandwiched with almond butter.

I think we might go Tarpon fishing today because the tides are only this perfect once or twice a year. The weather itself isn’t too nice outside so there won’t be any hope of tanning though! I’m not 100% sure we are going so we will see…

Have a great Sunday! Hope its relaxing 🙂

    hey Jenna-

i love your blog! i think it so amazing to be a pastry chef – what a unique and fun profession!

quick question! my boyfriend and i live in Chicago and we are heading down to Tampa this weekend for memorial day – what is the best restaurant/your favorite that you would recommend there?

    rroffle,

Have to check out 717 on Howard Ave, and try the seafood manicotti!!! unbelieveable. and the cheese bread appetizer
If you want a nice beachy place, head to either Island Way grille in clearwater or you can eat on the water at Jacksons in harbor island (good sushi)

    rroffle,

I second my boyfriend’s advice—717 is my favorite restaurant in Tampa and the one we always go to for special occasions! I always get the Tuna and its amazing…I’ve never been to Jacksons but I hear its good…also, Sideburns is really yummy (but expensive!)
