Hey hey!
Hope y’all had a great Saturday. Mine was filled with great friends, family and good food. What more could I ask for?! This morning I met up with two of my girlfriends at Starbucks for an hour and a half catch-up session. I had a grande awake tea with a splash of soymilk and a shot of simple syrup. Mmmm

The weather was GORGEOUS!!! After I left them, I met up with another friend for lunch! I had the hummus pita with fruit and he had….a big ole burger 😉

(I snagged a few of those killer fries, don’t you even worry!)
We took a nice walk in the sunshine, I went shopping and attempted to pack, pack, pack! However, I’m a horrible packer because I always get sidetracked when I find things that I haven’t seen in ages, such as my loved and weathered copies of Paradise Lost and British Poetry….also, lots of old photos and poems! I think I packed one box and then took a yogurt break.

And then tonight I went with my parents to one of my very favorite restaurants, Ceviche!!

I had almost a full glass of their famous sangria…

And then the three of us split the following:
Ceviche (obviously)—

A big salad with grilled salmon, scallops, mussels, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts and greens—-

Warm bread with proscuitto and manchego cheese—

And sauteed mushrooms with olive oil and garlic—

When I got home I ate three red Swedish fish 🙂
Bout to take a bubble bath and read! Maybe I’ll get that run in tomorrow??!

February 6, 2010 at 5:07 pmMmm, the roasted red pepper and salmon combo made my tummy growl! Lunch looked yummy too… and I always, always steal a bite or two of fries when I eat out too lol
Sounds like you’re having an amazing weekend, soak up that warm weather for me- i’m freezing!

February 6, 2010 at 5:07 pmi love swedish fish! is it weird that my first time trying them i thought they were dog treats because my aunt kept them in their dog’s treat jar. it was his favorite! now i know why 🙂
and ironically, my AP literature and composition class is reading Paradise Lost now haha.

February 6, 2010 at 5:08 pmI am the same way when packing! I get sidetracked with all of the old stories I wrote and journals and notes, etc. In a way, I love it!

February 6, 2010 at 5:13 pmOh my, what a wonderful day of eating! I love the big salad full of veggies and topped with salmon. Eating omega-3 rich food makes me feel so healthy – I had some smoked salmon and avocado on whole grain today. Yum 🙂

February 8, 2010 at 9:53 amOh my gah! Ceviche is my favorite restaurant! My fiance was on business for two years in Tampa and he took me there for my first birthday celebration with him. It holds a very special place in my heart, plus it is so super delicious. Their escargot and their tomato based/manchego/eggplant dip is the best!
