Well, the curtains were a success! Now I just have to get them hung tomorrow. Its going to be the most bizarre thing ever going to sleep during the day….I’m just praying I get used to it since I am totally the type of person that thrives off a routine. I have to eat and sleep at the same times every day or I just get all wiggy. Yes wiggy.
Anyways, this afternoon while we were shopping I snacked on a yummy cashew cookie larabar:
And then for dinner my mom made her fabulous chicken in red wine and blueberry sauce (out of the Maple Syrup Cookbook) as well as roasted fingerling potatoes (a mix of potatoes, extra virgin olive oil, cayenne, sea salt and garlic powder roasted at 400 for about 20-30 minutes), roasted asparagus, olive bread and Margaret brought a fabulous salad with her homemade dressing. Divine.
(I also had an unpictured glass of merlot) Yes, living at home is working out just fine. Hehe
For dessert I had another bite of my Toblerone bar. I love to savor these slowlyyyy making one bar last about two weeks.
After dinner I came over to Ryan’s to hang out and read (yes, we do read together. Dorks) but he’s not home from work yet so I’ve been playing with a certain black furry beast π
I’ve got a pretty busy day tomorrow between last minute Christmas shopping and yoga. See you in the morning!

December 22, 2008 at 7:40 pmHubby and I read together, too! π Jenna, I swear you are my sista! I thrive off routine so much. I get WAY WIGGY when I’m out of wack.
Have you ever had any food allergies or belly problems? Since we both are Vatas, just curious!
oh! Are you starting a new Bible study? I am in need of ideas! I am trying to read some old Testament stuff for fun. I love books that read like stories. Daniel, Jonah, Esther, etc.

December 22, 2008 at 7:46 pmPolly,
I’ve had IBS foreverrrrr but recently in the past couple years it hasn’t been so bad. Migraines are a Vata thing and I surely get my fair share of those and I’m also always cold, thin and have dry skin…all vata characteristics. I swear, they have me down. I’m so curious to learn more about it an how to get in better balance to see if that does anything to aid my migraines! As for a bible study…I need one! I havent started anything yet but am looking and thinking. Let me know if you think of one or have any suggestions!

December 22, 2008 at 8:26 pmhi Jenna! Just curious if you have a favorite type of yogaβyou seem to do all kinds but is there one that really clicks w/ you?
I just tried Yoga to the People for the first timeβgotta love free class!

December 22, 2008 at 8:51 pmFitforfree,
ahh I love yoga for the people!! I DO love all types of yoga but my favorite is simply just “power yoga”…or “flow yoga”….I went to the BEST yoga studio in Charleston, where I used to live, and all they had really were power yoga flow classes…they blasted the rolling stones and we all would just flow in vinyasa for the entire class. It was amazing. I do love Bikram and it has saved my life on multiple occasions…I remember when I was in France and feeling pretty homesick, the only thing I could find that would help me was practicing Bikram every day. The classes were in French and for the most part I had no idea what the instructor was saying but the poses were familiar and I just lost myself in them. It became 90 minutes a day where I didn’t have to think..where I could just let my mind rest and take comfort in the familiarity of bending and stretching my body and pushing myself to the max…

December 22, 2008 at 8:38 pmDinner looks divine, especially that chicken with the blueberry sauce! You and Ryan are not dorks. My husband and I read together all the time – that is one thing I loved about him when we started dating. We would read for hours on the couch together in silence. Love that π

December 22, 2008 at 9:47 pmIs Dexter going to live at Ryan’s or is he going to live at your parents with you?
I love when my boyfriend and I read together…. π

December 23, 2008 at 6:41 amFancy and BethT,
Well…the thing is, Ryan and Dexter have become incredibly attached to each other and I would feel horrible taking him away now….Ryan seriously loves that cat. So, for the time being, Dexter is staying over there and I am with Mikan over here. π

December 22, 2008 at 9:50 pmI forgot about Dexter!!! Is he coming to your parents’ house?

December 23, 2008 at 2:36 amdon’t worry, I’m sure you’ll adjust to the routine…its just after 3:30 am here and I just finished my mini-breakfast and am leaving for the bakeshop. Tomorrow I get to sleep in and be at the restaurant at 8.
I was wondering if Dexter was going to stay at Ryan’s or go to your house.

I have been wondering the same thing with Dexter??????????? I have done a complete 180 since the day Jenna surprised me with “our” new pet and do love Dexter (even he scratched the living sh#% out of the new furniture), but my entire fantasy football league now calls me Meow Mix, so we might have to ship Dexter over to Jenna’s for a little while, besides I hate leaving Dexter home all day with nothing to do when he could be chasing Mikan around for hours at a time.
