Good afternoon bloggies and happy Inauguration Day!!! =)
I hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday….I didn’t get to watch Obama’s speech so my parents taped it for me and I’ll be tuning in later. I heard it was great though!
I passed out at 7:30 last night only to be awoken in “the middle of the night” aka 11:30 (haha) but a super storm outside! A BIG cold front is blowing our way and I instantly panicked in bed, thinking it would be pouring and cold and my car was parked away on the street. Thank goodness that by 3:30 the rain and wind has subsided but it was quite chilly outside! I drank hot water and snacked on this larabar throughout the early morning hours:
And then for my breakfast break I broke out the oat bran, skim milk, pumpkin seed butter, brown sugar and cinnamon (whew, that’s a mouthful!) combo:
Sorry its so boring but this only takes 1 1/2 minutes to prepare in the micro and it keeps me full for the next 5 hours at work til lunch!! Today I added pineapple for a tropical treat 🙂
I did snack on a tiny piece of hot sourdough at work, for the record! 😉
And then for lunch I had exactly what I was craving—-almond butter and preserves on two Maple Cinnamon waffles and an orange:
And now I am racing to get to my appointment because her office is 30-45 minutes away. After my appointment I’m hopefully going to get an hour of yoga in before dinner and BED! Haha!
See you in a bit!

January 20, 2009 at 2:09 pmSo glad to have found your blog. One of my goals this year was to create a regular yoga practice. Doing so has been a humbling (well, humiliating is more like it!) experience! I had no idea I was so inflexible! I’m doing a very basic beginner workout at home to start. Even that little bit is a struggle, but I am determined to stick with it and do a few minutes every day! Hopefully I’ll begin to see some results.
Thanks for blogging about yoga – and your food. You’ve given me some good ideas.

January 20, 2009 at 2:56 pmFYI- I’m not sure if you’ve heard yet but Cliff Bar recalled some of their “peanut” products. I absolutely love reading your blog and notice that you have quite a few of the selected items. Check Cliff Bars web page for specifics with the dates of the items recalled.
