Whew! Glad to say that my migraine has successfully vanished. All morning I felt like I should go to the gym, but when I walked into my bedroom to put on my running shorts, I fell on top of my bed and proceeded to lay underneath the covers with only one eye exposed for the next hour. The good news in all of this was that, in my caffeine induced stupor, I came up with my next book idea. Sometimes it just takes caffeine pills and a large cup of coffee to get your creative juices flowing, I’ll tell you. I was so excited about this advancement that I immediately called my mother and then hopped out of my warm cocoon and put on a face mask. Both my pores and notions of the gym quickly vanished into thin air.
Because I’m in an overly creative mood right now, and because you all make me smile, here are my favorite photographs of summer so far. Enjoy.

July 17, 2010 at 12:39 pmGreat pictures! I love it when ideas pop in my head at random moments…usually the ideas I have aren’t really ideas, though. It’s kind of dumb, but I love trying to figure out other movies an actor has been in…like when I was watching Alice in Wonderland, I could not figure out where else I had seen Alice’s whacko aunt. Later than night, though, I randomly remembered that the aunt played in HP4.
Long story short, sweet victory.

July 17, 2010 at 3:51 pmHooray for the light at the end of the ‘migraine tunnel’ AND the burst of creativity!
I, too, suffer from migraines–sometimes static (more like buzzing and numbness in my head) and painful ones. Sometimes, in addition to, or in lieu of, medication, I have a shot of espresso/double short americano or a strong cup of coffee. It often helps to ease the tension; however, if I have too much, it hurts my tummy! Sigh…balance and moderation in everything. 🙂

July 18, 2010 at 8:08 amI love the photos and love bursts of creativity like that, too! I had to buy a couple notebooks so I could record ideas as they came to me. I have two big notebooks, and one little one my mom got me last year that I carry in my purse. You never know when inspiration is going to hit!
