Hello!
I’m soaking up my last day in Charleston right now because tomorrow I leave on a jet plane headed west.
Breakfast was oats made with water, soymilk, half a banana, blueberries and almond butter—
When Christie went to work, I headed to my old gym (and paid $10) to get a great workout in. I did a warm up on the arc trainer for a few minutes then 3 sets of 15 lunges on each leg with 10 lb weights, 3 sets of squats with 15 lb weight, bicep curls with 20 lbs, shoulder press with 20 lbs, 2 sets of push-ups on bosu ball, 4 sets of crunches. It was worth the ten bucks!
Met the big lawyer for lunch at East Bay Deli—
Doesn’t she look professional and pretty in her suit??!
I had the special, which was a hummus wrap:
This hit the spot. Hummus, melted provolone and veggies in a soft, warm wrap. I didn’t eat the chips but did eat the pickle!
Rooibos blueberry tea (I’m going to miss Teavana so much but my debit card will not…)
After sitting in the sunshine and reading for an hour, I took a nice hour and a half “photography walk”. I went everywhere and ended up sweaty and sprawled out on my friend Jessie’s couch.
Snack:
I’m a wee bit sunburned but it feels good to have some COLOR in my skin again. Healdsburg’s rainy, cold winter left me as pale as a ghost.
Off to go shower, pack and run errands with Christie.
Have a great day!

Sounds like THE perfect day in my book!! I’d be sad to be leaving Charleston. I think California sounds amazing but I’m a South Carolina girl all the way, I’m not sure I’d be truly happy anywhere else.
That wrap sounds amazingly good!!! YUM!
I just made some Fage 0% yogurt mixed with pure pumpkin. Yummm!!
The hummus wrap is awesome at EB Deli. I actually had it this past weekend. Too funny. I had a hard time figuring out how to eat it, it was awkwardly big!
Ohhh beautiful pictures! And hummus on a warm wrap with veggies… yes please!!
omg all of your pictures from charleston are STUNNING. esp that lavender tree!
Such gorgeous pictures, Jenna!
Beautiful pictures! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Charleston – how unique, historical and special it is. Exactly the kind of place I’d love to explore. Hoping I get there someday soon!
Enjoy your last day and safe travels!
Oh my goodness, a day full of rambling down city streets and snapping photos? Sounds so nice. Your little trip is really making me want to visit!
That place does look beautiful
Cool pics.
Charleston is beautiful! I would to live in a place like Charleston one day. I just love the Carolinas! I also love Teavana and think I need to make a special trip to one soon. Too bad it’s 30 minutes away, worth it!
Love the pictures, so pretty! I wish I was outside strolling
LOVE teavanna! Glad you are having such a wonderful time
yes, it looks beautiful! and that wrap looks delicious!
what a wonderful day! i know i’m planning a photography walk in a few minutes, but i really wish i was in the south for it
have a great trip on the jet plane
Sometimes you just have to work out, regardless of cost! Glad to see Charleston treated you well!
Charleston is beautiful, i’m sure you’ll miss it. Your friend Christie is too cute. And she’s your age? That’s a young lawyer! Good for her!
What a lovely day! You’re so good at photography..screw cooking, I think you should release a photography book!!
Gorgeous pictures! Enjoy your last day!
Reading your posts, and seeing your pictures of warm and sunny Charleston, while confined to my tiny, grey cubicle in clowdy, windy, and cold Montreal, has got me contemplating a change in address
. Your pictures are truly stunning- great job!
Gorgeous photos!
That hummus wrap looks awesome! Your photos are wonderful – they really capture the city!
The first picture is beautiful …and I love simple oats! Enjoy the Southern sun =]
Absolutely gorgeous pictures! Sometimes it’s walks like that, that clear your mind and refresh you for the rest of your day. I’m so jealous that you sweat outside while walking around! It was 30 degrees when I woke up in Germany this morning. It sucked! Good news: I’m in Paris this weekend and it will be 63 degrees for my marathon!
What a beautiful city…one thing I love about blogs is that I can “visit” places I may never see in real life!
Ohhh, these pictures make me miss Charleston so much. Laying out in Marion Square, freshman year. Sigh.
wow, looks like a really nice time, must go to charleston soon!
Lovely pics!

I bet that hummus sandwich tasted ah-mazing!
I actually have a big portion of chickpeas, and I don´t know what can I do with them… ´Cause I don´t have any tahini of different condiments, like cummin or paprika!
Oh, well…
Have a great week, Jenna!
Brazilian XOXO´s,
Gabriela

What a beautiful day! Glad you’re able to soak up some sun.
What lovely pictures! I love springtime… have a safe trip!
Fun times, sometimes that feeling you get after a good workout is worth the $10. I’m glad you had a great time.
I’ve never been to Charleston before, but it looks gorgeous there! I’m glad you had a great time visiting your friends!
The pictures from your walk are gorgeous!!
Those pictures are beautiful! What kind of camera do you use??
Laura,
thank you! I shoot with a canon rebel and most times, use a 50 mm fixed lens.
You must be really sad to be leaving! It just looks so perfect down there. I went home recently for the first time in years and while I miss it so, more than anything it just really rejuvenated me going back and I was more than happy to come back to my new “home” – I hope you feel the same!!
Perfect day indeed!
Are you looking forward to going back?
Do you write when your home or take a break from it?
Charleston’s been on my must visit list for a while now, your photos are making me think it should be sooner rather than later
Do you still think you’ll move to Charleston this fall, or are you up in the air as to a new landing spot?
Happy travels!
If I lived close enough to get Teavana on a regular basis my bank account would be hurting.
A little sunshine always makes everything better I’d say!
You’re making me want to go to visit Charleston!
That puppy is such a muffin! Great pics
What a beautiful town! Thanks for sharing your adventure, have a safe flight!
I have loved getting to see some Charleston pics!! Thanks Jenna!
Thanks for the beautiful spring-time pics! It’s been snowing all day here so it’s nice to know it’s Spring somewhere!
I just love your pictures, they are gorgeous!
Maybe you mentioned it before, but when is your book due to come out???
“Photography Walks” are one of my favorite motivations to get off my bum and move. Lovely snaps of Charleston! Enjoy the rest of your stay there and have a safe trip back to CA!
sounds like a great day! That doggy is soooo cute!

Love the photos! You ladies sure had some good eats and beautiful weather this past week. Must be good to be home for a bit!
That sounds like the perfect day to me! You’re lucky you aren’t in Kansas. It was rainy and windy all day…not very good picture weather.
I really enjoy your blog and you have inspired me to consider starting a blog for my adventures in Colorado this summer. Thanks for the great entries and please send the sun our way!
It truly does sound like the perfect day!
I can’t wait to see you tan.
Have a safe trip back to SF. I SWEAR it you just left to go home the other day!!!
Be safe traveling Jenna! I am so glad you had a great vacation at home!
Beautiful pictures! I definitely need to find a race in Charleston and we can visit the in-laws, too!
