Camera Disaster

Bad news on the homefront.

I can’t find my camera!!! I have searched my bag, my car, my chef kit….everywhere. It’s nowhere to be found. This leads me to two possibilities. One, that I left it on the table at school last night and if I’m really lucky it will still be there tonight when I go in. Two, that someone stole it off the table when I wasn’t looking last night. I know everyone in my class so I can’t fully think that would happen (since I like to think the best of everyone)…but I’ve had kitchen tools stolen before so if they have the audacity to steal my tools they might steal my camera as well. Lets all just hope and pray and cross our fingers that the camera is still in my kitchen. I’m going in at five to continue working on cake decorating so I’ll be the first one there tonight anyways. Ugh! I’m sorry! What a disaster!!!!!! And I had tons of photos of my chocolate cake all ready to be posted this morning too :(. Not a good start to my Friday………

And, I didn’t go to the gym this morning because I accidentally slept in 40 minutes past when I need to wake up and get going. Lately I’ve just been SO tired in the mornings. It fades during the days and I’m fine, but in the mornings I just can’t pry myself out of my bed. Good thing summer break starts a week from today…..I need it!!!!

I made a smoothie for breakfast! I used a fresh banana, about a cup and a half of soymilk, a spoonful of pb and a few frozen strawberries. It was very yummy but left me very very chilly so I had to wrap myself with a blanket and make some tea. Haha, I’m always cold! I should know better!

For lunch, I’m just going to make a peanut butter sandwich on more of that homemade bread that Erin brought me at school (she brought us all another loaf the other night!). With it, I’m packing cherries (a whole baggie full) and more pretzel sticks as a snack. I’m boring with this lunch but its full of foods that I love and those honey wheat pretzels are soooo addicting and yummy. I love the crunch! If I wasn’t having a peanut butter sammie for lunch, I would pack peanut butter with my pretzels, but I’m eating dinner around 4:30 again to get to school super early so I only need a very light snack. I probably don’t even need a snack at all but I get so bored at work and love to eat. Haha ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ryan is coming tonight to celebrate our anniversary weekend!!! Two years ago this weekend Ryan and I had our first date at, um, the Dave Chapell Show. It was sort of random and awkward since we didn’t know each other at all and had only just met one time in the elevator!!!! The next day I was going to my friend’s beach house for the weekend and invited him over to go to the beach and go to a baseball game with all my friends. He came, much to my surprise, and after a few drinks at the game, the rest was history! Hahahaha and I’m sure if anyone wants to know, Ryan can explain the whole humorous situation with me dropping hot dogs all over my jeans and meeting his entire family that night as well. Good times, good times………..;)

And had way too much fun at Ryan’s 30th Birthday Party….

Haha! I’ll try to update with more pictures during this weekend. I lost all our pictures from our first year because my laptop crashed in Europe and I lost everything! grrr

I really hope you find your camera! Poor thing. My sunglasses were stolen at work last week and I was devasted. On a happier note, I will be thinking of you this weekend because I am going to try and back an Almond Pear Clafouti from the Food Network’s French Recipe Collection. I am not sure what a clafouti is, but it looks good on the website pic. Have a great weekend.

Melissa, a clafouti is a classic French dessert usually made with cherries, but pears are wonderful, too! It’s super simple and tasty – the fruit is on the bottom and you top it with a thin batter that is very similar to pancake batter. It’s almost as simple as pancakes, actually. Enjoy.

Jenna, this is actually my first comment on your blog but I’ve been reading for awhile. I hope you find your camera and thanks for posting all these fun pictures lately! Have a great anniversary.

And to think it all started with you making a mess of some hot dogs (story???). btw, I am crossing my fingers you’ll find your camera for totally selfish reasons: I was looking forward to seeing that cake!

I just made my own blog!! I’m so excited about it… hopefully I’ll be able to figure everything out soon!

Hey to the poster about running and women issues- what were the suggestions? I’m having similar problems. I’ve been told to cut back on exercise and eat more fat. Did you try those things? Did they bring the cycles back? Thanks!
