Cat and Mouse

Mornin’!

And yes, Almanzo has been spotted around the blogosphere! I’m so glad he got to show the girls a good time last night in New York. I guess if I can’t be there, he’s the next best thing!

This morning I started things off on the right foot with coffee:

Half a whole wheat cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese:

And yoga with a mouse!

Dexter bats his stuffed mice around the apartment on an hourly basis. These mice end up everywhere; once when traveling, my mom opened up her suitcase and found one inside! He especially loves to hide his mice in bags, under beds, under yoga mats and in laundry baskets.

He has his game face on. Mouse catching is serious business, after all.
After about half an hour of yoga, I took a shower, ate some leftover pizza and I’m about to head to work.

I seriously think this pizza is ever BETTER today, straight from the fridge. So, so, so good!

Today is Farm Stands at work! If you live in the Sonoma area, you should really come out—we basically transform the Kendall-Jackson Wine Center into a big farmer’s market and have fresh baked bread, pastries, cheeses, produce, and of course, wine. Here are some photos from the first Farm Stand back in May (this was before I even worked there!).

I’ll still be doing food and wine pairing out back, but hopefully can sneak away at some point to snap a few photos and grab a cookie!
And then, right when I get off I’m headed to the big city to visit a certain pregnant friend. Guess who!

That market looks so fresh and relaxing; I wish I made the time to find one for myself this morning.
Something about pizza ALWAYS makes it better leftover 🙂

With your culinary experiences and craftiness for making dishes (and writing about them here) , I have a feeling some of your future book ventures will be in the food-related-area of sorts….should be interesting.

My kitten does that too with the mice. It’s so adorable!
She kept trying to put them in my boyfriend’s mom’s suitcase when she was visiting last week.
We are about to pack for a big move, so I can’t wait to see how many hidden mice we find!

The market sounds amazing! Although I am personally a fan of including wine in everything, such as shopping at the market!
My cat likes to do the mouse thing too. Except now she has hidden all of her mice somewhere and have none to play with!

I knew events like this existed! Can I come?! Can you also ask if they can schedule a similar dream-come-true day of food and wine at the end of September? Could I be anymore needy? 😉 Have a blast today!

I wish my cat was satisfied with cute toy mice. The real versions she brings in aren’t all that cute once she’s done with them. Basic instinct, I guess.
Isn’t leftover (preferably cold) pizza the reason for making/ordering it in the first place?
    Enjoy your weekend!

I wish I could go to that farmer’s market. I did buy a bottle of Kendall-Jackson pinot noir, so that’ll have to do for now!

Hahaha, love the mouse-chase-face – and stuffed mice are cute, while real, beheaded, somewhat-shredded mice are just iiiicky! That’s what my cat treated us to. That and worse, trust me. A real killer, sigh 🙁

I am suddenly in the mood for cold pizza and blueberries?!

Dexter – Oh My God – he means business!!

Is the pizza “missing” the tomatoe-sauce do you find? Is it “moist” or more of a “drier” type pizza?…LOL – does that make sense?!

Leftover pizza is always better. I think it’s because all the sauce has time to seep into the crust. 😀
