Catch-Up

Well, back in Florida and its raining! Surprise, surprise! lol This is definitely the middle of our monsoon season!

I was one sleepy girl this morning because I didn’t end up getting home last night until almost 11:45. Ryan was so sweet and not only waited up for me to get home (even though he had been up since 4:30—I was impressed), he had also cleaned the whole house, hung our new light fixture and went to the grocery store to get bananas, spinach, peaches and grapes! Needless to say, I was very impressed! Unfortunately though we are totally out of almond milk so there could not be any green monsters this morning. 🙁

I made a yogurt bowl instead!

I used an Oikos vanilla yogurt, 1/2 cup Post Shredded Wheat, 1/2 cup Kashi H2H, sprinkle of goji berries, raw cacao nibs, scoop of raw almond butter and a kiwi!

It was very yummy indeed!

Today is a big catch-up day for me! I need to unpack, do laundry, do a pretty major grocery shop (Costco AND Publix), write articles and work out. While on the plane last night I planned out meals to make for every night this week!

Hope you get all caught up on everything you need to today! Ryan and I have yet ANOTHER wedding to go to on Saturday! 🙂

Your menu looks awesome for the week! I might have to try planning my week out too – I feel like it’s so much better for budgeting, as well as making sure we aren’t caught with a random night where we have no food in the house and no meal planned!

Gold luck catching up today 🙂

I love that breakfast, so colorful! Do you not use anything besides almond milk in your GMs? I’ve used skim milk which is good or yogurt is nice too but sometimes it’s a little too thick.

I always try to plan out a weekly menu but more often than not I end up eating alone since my husband works late all the time…

Jenna, do you mix the almond butter in with the yogurt, or kind of keep it sitting on top? I’ve been wanting to try that combo!

I’m glad you had such a nice trip — you looked absolutely beautiful in that awesome pink dress! And how sweet of Ryan to have the place cleaned up and groceries picked out when you got home. Hope the rain clears up for you soon!

I just recently found your site and I really find you to be motivating. I really want to eat healthy and have my family do the same but I was in a rut. I love your food ideas. It actually has gotten me out of my rut. As for working out, you are motivating in that area too. I look forward to reading your site everyday. Thanks!

p.s. I tried the amazing grass and I love it. I have my husband drinking it everyday too.

    Jenna,

I just have to say that today I tried Amazing Grass for the first time (found some packets at my local health food store) and you were right. THEY ARE THE BEST THING EVER. That’s right. THE BEST. I feel so great with no caffeine!!!!!! I usually hit a morning lull around 11, but I haven’t at all!

It’s so sweet that Ryan cleaned and waited up for you. My boyfriend does that when I’m away too. The other day I went to the gym with full intention of cleaning my bathroom when I got back. When I got home, my boyfriend had already clean the whole bathroom already. 🙂
