***Woahhhh amazing splurge night alert ahead!!!!!!!!***
Tonight Ryan and I went to the Indigo Room, the restaurant in a new hotel on the ocean here in Vero. Everything was divine and it was an absolute perfect date (and splurge!) night! Here’s a recap:
We arrived a little bit before our resi, so we sat at the bar and had a drink. I had a lovely glass of pinto noir:
We walked outside with our drinks (Ryan got his signature Rum & Diet) because we were RIGHT on the ocean. It was gorgeous and they had a huge fire pit going since it was so chilly!
When we finally sat down, we immediately ordered an appetizer because I was starving! We split the bruschetta and, to my surprise, they actually did split it for us! Ryan and I each were served an appetizer sized plate with two bruschetta, topped with prosciutto, fresh buffalo mozzarella and shredded basil with a tomato salad and topped with balsamic syrup.
Oh my gosh, this was AMAZING! I managed to stay clear of the bread basket but when this was served to me there was no going back. The bread was incredibly chewy and the contrast of flavors was amazing. I ate one plus a few bites of the second. So good!
For my entree, I chose the ahi tuna, my favorite! It was served on a spicy asian style salad with napa cabbage and topped with….radish? I have no idea.
My only gripe was that this dish was $$$ and really wasn’t very much fish! It seemed more like an appetizer portion and was probably only 3 oz of fish. It was fine for me but just seemed a little pricey for the amount. Ryan had the filet, which was awesome, and gave me a few bites as well!
Oh yeah………and we totally ordered the truffle mac & cheese side dish to share:
I probably had 2x this amount…..who knows…..I could NOT stop picking at it! Especially after two hefty glasses of wine! It was phenomenal!
Since I was on a roll, I ordered us dessert as well: tarte tatin with cinnamon ice cream!
What a presentation! Ryan insisted on taking my picture with it
The tart, like the bruschetta, was conveniently split into two mini slices. I conveniently inhaled most of it though ;). Honestly, the tart wasn’t anything special…just puff pastry (which I highly doubt they make in house because its sooo time consuming and expensive!) topped with apples…….but again, after two glasses of wine it seemed like a wonderful idea. The cinnamon ice cream, on the other hand, was to die for! Regardless, I am quite full right now and ready for my jammies and bed!
Ryan and I are waking up early, going to church, then going out to breakfast after. We are definitely working out as well since I had a day pass for him at my gym here….and then he has to leave 🙁 Sad! But…I’ll be home on Thursday after working like 12 hours!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Saturday night…I’m headed to bed early. See you tomorrow!

Molly,
The tuna is seared for about 30 seconds but it’s basically raw…sushi-style. I love it!
