Tuesday!
The days are sort of flying by and I can’t believe that next week I’m going to CALIFORNIA!!!!! Wahhooo! I can’t wait to get back. I sort of fell in love with it last July if you didn’t pick up on it. 😉
I am SORE this morning. Sore, sore, sore. My abs, my back, my arms, my quads….all of me…one big ball of soreness. When it hurts to laugh, you know you have worked your abs to the max 🙂 I’m going to do a yogadownload later and stretch myself back out like silly putty. No running until Friday…just ice, ice, ice baby.
The return of the almond butter jar oatmeal!
It’s always a good start to a day when you eat your oats out of the nut butter jar.
I used 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup water, 1 banana, cinnamon, sea salt, pure maple syrup and, obviously, almond buttah!
Obviously it was gross.
I’ve got a ton of stuff going on today. The middle of the month is always my busiest time because I have the most deadlines for my freelance projects. I’ve got a few to work on today as well as a super important phone call and back to the studio this afternoon to work a few hours to pay off my yoga debt. hehe

Currently reading 1 Timothy (love him) and just LOVED these two quotes last night so I wanted to share them with y’all today.
“Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever” 1 Timothy 4: 9
And then….and I love this one:
“Go ahead and drink a little wine. It’s good for your digestion, good medicine for what ails you” 1 Timothy 5: 23 Thank you, Tim! Amen to that. 🙂

Have a lovely morning!

September 15, 2009 at 8:51 amI am not a Biblical scholar in any sense, but it seems surprising that working out in a gymnasium was something that was done in 62 AD, which is when it’s estimated that 1 Timothy was written. That just struck me as quite funny! I envision peasants in long robes bench pressing bails of hay.

September 15, 2009 at 8:52 amThat’s funny – I JUST bought some almond butter yesterday when I was out grocery shopping. I made a mix of almond butter and peanut butter and I’m going to have it on celery for a snack today. =) That breakfast looks amazing – I’ll definitely have to try it out!

Those oats look fabulous. I agree 100% – when your breakfast stars a nut butter jar of oats, you KNOW you have a great day on your hands!

September 15, 2009 at 9:46 amOats in a jar are the best — it’s too bad you have to wait until the end of a jar to eat them! … Hmm, or do you…

September 15, 2009 at 10:40 amGlad you are back into the Word and getting some good stuff out of it. Thought it might be of interest to you that 1 & 2 Timothy were actually written by Paul as letters of encouragement and exhortation to Timothy. So it’s actually Paul saying those things to Timothy because of what the Lord has shown him through Paul’s relationship with God…which I think is pretty darn cool!

September 15, 2009 at 10:56 amFavorite scripture – read it today in fact. 1st Timothy 6:6 Godliness with Contentment is great gain.. Wow! to be content with God no matter the circumstance or your environment.. Love it!

I haven’t perfected the oats in a jar yet (I never seem to leave enough nut butter in there) but I’ll have to give them another try!

September 15, 2009 at 11:28 amHey girl. Paul actually wrote 1 and 2 Timothy (1 Timothy 1:1-2)as a letter to Timothy. I love knowing that Christ is the most important and most profitable thing that we can strive for. As a fellow healthy living blogger I struggle with not letting healthy living (a good thing) be more important than Christ (the best thing). Love you blog.

September 15, 2009 at 3:15 pmHey Jenna! I am just getting into yoga (late to the party – I know!) and I am wondering which of the classes on yoga download you like best. I am having a little trouble finding a class that isn’t too easy, but is also not too challenging… Suggestions?

September 15, 2009 at 5:41 pmGreat verses to live by!
One CANNOT go wrong with oats in a jar!

September 15, 2009 at 8:46 pmGreat verses…sometimes I can be more consumed w/ staying fit that I let my physical life go before my spiritual. This is something I always need to keep in check. God is the one who gave me this body and while I want to make the most of it I need my time with Him daily to grow and mature in my faith or it’s all worthless and meaningless!
