Happy New Years Eve!
I was planning on sharing a new recipe with you guys today but figured I’d save it for later in the week since you’re probably not cooking today any way. Or if you are cooking, you’re probably making party food. And hopefully black eyed pea stew or hoppin’ john! I soaked my peas last night and am making a batch of my mom’s famous hoppin’ john this morning. It’s so good.
So instead of sharing a new recipe today, I wanted to do a recap post of the last year! I think it’s safe to say that 2013 was the best year of my life. My mind spins just thinking about it and all that took place. I got married, went to Europe, went to Ethiopia, got pregnant (!!) and we moved into a new house. God has blessed us so much and we anxiously await the birth of our son in May! Whew!
