Happy Friday, friends!
Hope you have a great one. I had the exact same breakfast as yesterday because it was SO good and SO filling!

Egg white pumpkin oatmeal! I swear, adding egg whites AND pumpkin makes for the biggest, baddest bowl of oats ever. So much volume to this bowl! 🙂
I was going to go to a 75 minute yoga class this morning but I have a very tight muscle on the lower right side of my body that has been bothering me a bit lately and I don’t want to put any more stress on it today…I might do some deep stretches later but I think my body is asking for a little rest.
I’ve been just wallowing in my bed all morning and it’s time to get my act together. See you later!

January 15, 2010 at 9:04 amI don’t know if you have already explained but how exactly do you add the egg whites? I tried that once a long time ago and I ended up with chunks of cooked eggs all throughout my oats.. NOT good.

January 15, 2010 at 9:16 amI did that this morning, too — I was rather productive … but in between productiveness I just kinda hung out in my bed. It felt glorrrrious. 🙂

This morning I tried HEABs protein ice cream and my stomach is just not that big. I couldn’t eat even half and had to switch to nut butter to increase cal intake

Megan (The Runner's Kitchen)
January 15, 2010 at 9:54 amDo you think oat bran would increase the volume and satiety of a bowl of oats? I noticed that you sometime have oat bran instead of rolled oats and was wondering about the difference…
Hooray for pumpkin (in all things!)
Casey @ Spicy&Sweet)
January 15, 2010 at 9:54 amYummy! I love egg whites in oatmeal, even though I was scared of the combo at first :).
Happy weekend Jenna!

January 15, 2010 at 10:05 amBreakfast looks delicious, as always! I’ve never tried pumpkin or egg whites, but i’m going to try it this weekend. I’m guessing you use the pumpkin puree? Also, I have the same question above about how you add the egg whites. I don’t want to mess up a perfect bowl of oatmeal 🙂
Hope you have a great weekend!

January 15, 2010 at 10:20 amHey Jenna, I know you are very “help the world”-y, so I wanted to let you and your readers know that I am trying to raise some money for the relief efforts in Haiti.
In hopes that others will make donations to any of the great charity organizations that are helping out, I have pledged $2 for every comment on this post where you tell me how you helped out Haiti.

January 15, 2010 at 10:48 amBig enormous bowls of cereal and oats are the best. Even just as “snacks” in my case! I eat a lot 🙂
You are amazing yogi. I just have no motivation to do anything beyond 15-20 minutes of the most basic tape ever invented. Oh well….its a “long” phase I guess….maybe just not my thing!

January 15, 2010 at 11:44 amWhile I think it’s fantastic that you have been doing so much power yoga (which sounds really difficult with all the “jumping” from posture to posture); perhaps you are due for a traditional relaxation yoga session! Maybe your muscles are just telling you to relax and let go….Hope the tightness subsides. Just remember that you can get a ton of great benefits from slow and flowing yoga poses. =) Namaste
I am definitely going to have to try this pumpkin oatmeal deal that you have going on – seems like it’s your fav! =)
