Role Reversal

Morning!

Ryan and I are slowly reversing roles. I used to be the one who would wake up at the crack of dawn, fumbling around in the kitchen, getting ready for a run…….and now when the alarm went off at 7:00, Ryan said “I’ve been waiting for you to wake up for two hours!!!!” Um two hours? He jumped out of bed, did LEVEL 3 of The 30 Day Shred and drank down a super Green Monster. Again, who is this guy?! I can’t believe our three year anniversary is on Saturday! 🙂

Naturally, while Ryan shredded, I sat on the bed drinking my GM and watched. Today is my “off” day and starting my morning straight off with Jillian is a little intense. I have to slowly wake up first! I made a Super Berry Monster today!

IMG_1002.JPG

I used:

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • about 1 cup frozen blackberries
  • about 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • about 3 cups spinach
  • 1 scoop Amazing Meal
  • 1/2 scoop wheatgrass
  • 1 scoop Naturally More pb
IMG_1001.JPG

It was quite the berry-licious concoction! This was good although I have to say, I prefer the standard GM without the frozen blackberries.

After drinking my smoothie + a cup of double bergamot tea, I discovered the internet was down.…so is the cable so I feel like they might be connected? I didn’t feel like staying and waiting though since I have a lot to do and my job depends on the internet, so I packed everything up and now am working from my parent’s house!

You only have a few more days to send in your e-cookbook recipe!!!!! The cut-off is Sunday morning so please send them now to HelpJennaRun@gmail.com . Lookin’ great so far!

    Hi Jenna!
I just discovered the shred ondemand. I was wondering how many days you did each level? Any othe readers suggestions would be great too!
    Thanks!

      Caitlin,

I didn’t really follow the program or do it for 30 days, I just use it to supplement my work out schedule as is. You are SUPPOSED to do each level for a week though if you are following Jillian’s plan!

      Goldie,

Well my days vary so much. I don’t really have a “typical” one. I usually get up around 7:30, make breakfast, blog, catch up on comments, write articles for my freelance work, get caught up on emails, blog more and spend the afternoon working on some “special projects” 🙂 Somehow I fit a workout in somewhere!

Great article on the mid-day slump!! I suffer from this at work EVERY DAY. It’s like at 3pm– i’m not even actually hungry or tired– just feel like a caged animal and need a distraction!

I head to the coffee shop down the street and get a tea at that time almost everyday. I’m currently trying to quit splenda too, so it’s interesting.

    Anyway, I can’t believe Ryan’s 360. Awesome!

I dunno, blackberries are my favorite so I’d prob prefer this one… yum!

You and R are totally proving that when we make positive choices those around us follow… you haven’t forced any of this on him, yet your example is enough… That’s fab!

My fiance and I have been dating for over 6 years and he has definately turned into a health nut like me! I love it! When we met, he ate two double cheeseburgers everyday before football and I started making him pb and j’s on whole wheat instead and the rest was history! he now drinks green monsters, eats tons of veggies, tofu, quinoa, almond butter, etc and I’m so proud of him! We Love cooking together!!
