Good Morning!
I’m headed out the door to work at the winery all day for the second round of Barrel Tasting. Should be interesting 😉
It felt like deja vu this morning when I woke up early, ate a slice of bread with peanut butter and raspberry jam and hit the road for a 3 mile run. My 5K is a week from today! When I got home I made some oats in a jar for breakfast—
I used 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup soymilk, 1/2 cup water, 1 super ripe banana and a pinch of sea salt and cinnamon. I’m sort of peanut buttered out right now, if that’s humanly possible 😉
Time for coffee and….wine? See you tonight!

March 13, 2010 at 9:11 amIt’s been so long since i’ve had OIAJ. I need to find an almost empty jar and fast!

March 13, 2010 at 9:12 amI was almond buttered out for a bit and then I had Naturally More and the spoon started dipping in the jar again….many many many times per day 🙂 Have a great day!

March 13, 2010 at 9:34 amHow do you make Oats in a Jar? Do you nuke them in the jar or make them and mix them up in the jar?
Have a great day!

March 13, 2010 at 10:18 amTJ’s also has bunches of daffodils for $1.29 each. I love how take home a rubber-banded tube of thick stems with closed buds on the end, cut them off short, put in a small vase, et voila! In a day a springy mass of fragrant yellow miracles cheering me on next to laptop and cup of hot tea. How did next to nothing become ‘You’re-All-That!’ in one day?? TJ’s other little miracle ‘Olympiad’ individual pizza’s with olives for about $3.99. Pop in oven, stand with fork and knife poised in the air waiting for timer to go off Mmm, so good. And yes, ‘You Know You’re French’–when eat not even les burgers with hands. Because that place you in the stoner White Castle Burger strip mall crowd.

March 13, 2010 at 10:46 amcoucou, i love big thick sea salt, but isn’t it lumpy in oatmeal? does it have enough time to absorb? i hate salty oatmeal.

March 13, 2010 at 12:22 pmI love the Valencia PB from TJ’s…I think that some PB, especially the cheap kinds, have an aftertaste. That PB always tastes nice and ‘clean!’

Actually, I totally know what you mean. I had the same “problem” last year. Now I’m on a peanut butter kick all over again. 😀

March 13, 2010 at 3:13 pmI have a jar ready for the oats for tomorrow. I’m almost tempted to just eat the last bits with a spoon but I love OIAJ and don’t get them that often.

March 13, 2010 at 3:13 pmI’m never peanut-buttered out, but for some reason I just can’t eat peanut butter in my oatmeal… So I definitely feel your cereal-related pain.
