I slept until 9:00 this morning! It felt SO good. Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes, everyone! My birthday really isn’t until Wednesday though. Haha 🙂 On my actual birthday I have school that night so my mom is driving up to Orlando for the day and we are going out to lunch. Then, on Saturday, Ryan and and I are celebrating. Lots of fun celebrations!
This morning I woke up and made some steel cut oats with banana and peanut butter. I only used 1/4 cup oats this morning (I usually use 1/3 cup) because by the time I ate it was already 9:15 and I wanted to be hungry for lunch.
I don’t have the day off tomorrow so I will be heading back to Orlando later this afternoon. Ryan and I are running some errands together and then probably grabbing lunch and laying out by the pool.

June 8, 2008 at 2:58 pmHey Jenna! With all of your posts about cosmos lately I’ve been meaning to ask – have you ever tried them with pomegranate juice instead of cranberry? Heaven in a glass!

Yes! My mom made those a couple weeks ago when I came over for dinner and they were really good. I feel like they are “healthier” because of all the benefits of the pom. juice! haha! 😉

June 8, 2008 at 3:09 pmJenna- I find that my body “works” better with many mini-meals (ahhh- alliteration!) throughout the day, instead of 3 squares. My energy seems to drag, even on days I eat 3 bigger main-meals… even if I’m not really “hungry.” Have you tried different things, and what works for you? I’ve cut back on caffeine and drink decaf mostly, so I don’t think it’s this… maybe I am hypo-glycemic? or maybe I’m just “designed” this way? What do you think?! (I know you don’t really know me, but maybe you have some experience with it)- Thanks! Enjoy the sun 🙂

June 8, 2008 at 6:27 pmHey everyone!
This is a question for everybody: How much do you normally spend on groceries per week? I am starting to eat healthier, and I’ve noticed that health food stores are much more expensive than other grocery stores.
Thanks! (I’ll be posting this on other sites as well)

June 8, 2008 at 6:59 pmi spend about $65 a week, which is for me…..and also covers quite a bit for my boyfriend who eats dinner with me about 3 times a week and lunch on the weekends. it really is expensive, but i make sure to only eat out once a week at most, so i have sometimes wondered if i am saving money overall! i am interested in hearing everyone else’s responses!

June 8, 2008 at 8:05 pmIlene- I’m not sure because I live with my family, but I am a major coupon-clipper and that adds up and helps! Also, I don’t need to shop at a health-food store for everything on my list, so I buy what I can at the “regular” store, my produce at a farmer’s market/produce stand, and the “extra’s” at a specialty/health-food store! I also buy the generic brand when it doesn’t matter, but for the products and names I like, I’ll go for the “real” thing! Hope this helps!
