Hey hey
How’s your Wednesday treatin’ ya? This morning I went to a 75 minute power yoga class and then worked at the front desk for awhile while the next class was in session. Loving the January Lululemon challenge to sweat once a day….feels great! After class, I snacked on a yogurt—

And orange—

And jasmine green tea—

As you can see, I’ve been drinking a TON of tea lately and not so much coffee. I like the way I feel when I drink tea instead. I have this personal theory that coffee overload makes my skin break out. Weird, huh? I swear my skin glows more when I drink tea! π Try it yourself!
Lunch was a big salad topped with an Amy’s California veggie burger, hummus, grated goat’s milk cheddar cheese and sriracha with a high fiber tortilla and 2 kiwis on the side:

As for my dating life, which y’all seem to be so interested in, my lips are sealed and the cat’s in the bag! π My life is very public so please allow me this one private aspect!

I’m wearing shorts in January because I desperately need to do laundry! See you tonight!
Megan (The Runner's Kitchen)
January 13, 2010 at 1:30 pmYour salad looks so artistic! Love the combo of hummus, sriracha, and kiwis.
And hooray for yoga challenges! I went to a pilates class night and while I don’t exactly love pilates (I’m a runner), my core is thanking me π
Lisa (bakebikeblog)
January 13, 2010 at 1:34 pmThat is one awesome looking lunch….love it!

January 13, 2010 at 1:47 pmLove how you wrote “my date” in the last post and then are amazed when people question about who that might be. Passive agressive, no?

January 13, 2010 at 1:47 pmHahaha Love that pictorial response to the love-life inquiries! And I have the same gym bag. π

January 13, 2010 at 1:50 pmI love the “sweat once a day” challenge! It leaves open so many possibilities! The salad looks delish — and I can’t blame you for wanting to keep the dating life private. π

i am SO into the sweat once a day challenge! i’m one of those people that doesn’t consider it a “good” workout unless i’m absolutely dripping!

January 13, 2010 at 1:52 pmGood move on not plastering Mystery Man all over the blog. Can you imagine?! I think meeting the readers is worse than meeting the parents.

Morgan @ Life After Bagels
January 13, 2010 at 1:58 pmwell since you mentioned tea . . .if you drink it so fast that you start sweating does that count π hahaha just kidding, that’s actually a great challenge. If I just did Angela’s whittle my middle moves everyday that would make me sweat once a day.

January 13, 2010 at 2:04 pmCan’t wait until that cat is outta the bag! You deserve a great guy, hope that’s the case for ya now girlie π

January 13, 2010 at 2:12 pmTea is always so much more gentle on my stomach than coffee. I tend to go through phases… coffee for a while… tea for a while.
Hillary @ Nutrition Nut on the Run
January 13, 2010 at 2:14 pmI have been drinking lots more (green) tea lately. It feels so cleansing. As for the dating, I have to give that one to ya. You are so honest and open with the rest of your life, a girl has the right to keep her crush to herself. Take care!
Molly @thevegandorm
January 13, 2010 at 2:15 pmHaha – I saw “L’s” comment and literally cracked up. Get your own guy to date, and let Jenna have hers!

January 13, 2010 at 2:15 pmIf I’m going to a coffee shop, I order coffee but at home, it’s all tea all the time. I go through 2-3 bags a day — it’s a passion! π

January 13, 2010 at 2:16 pmHaha – I read “L’s” comment and literally cracked up. L needs to find her own guy to date and let Jenna have hers!
As always, salad looks soooo delicious! I was never into coffee, but I have been drinking a lot of tea lately. I have a chai obsession!

January 13, 2010 at 2:23 pmTea totally makes me feel like I’m glowing. When I have more than one cup of coffee in a day, may stomach never fails to let me know by kicking me! π
And I love those tortillas… My favorite! Try the rye ones- they’re so good!

January 13, 2010 at 2:26 pmSmart decision – and you’re right, you need to keep some things to yourself π And you seem happy and that’s what counts!
Chloe (No Sugar and Spice)
January 13, 2010 at 2:34 pmDefinitely keep things to yourself! When you’re in the public eye it’s hard to do so, so I’m glad to see you’re keeping mum!

January 13, 2010 at 3:18 pmHi Jenna π
I am a virgin when it comes to hot tea and I don’t drink coffee or coffee-type drinks; hot chocolate is about the farthest I’ve gone when it comes to hot drinks. I’ve tried a couple flavors of tea (black tea leaves w/ a carmel and peppermint) but they tasted too “herb-y” to me. My friend adds a ton of sugar to hers; I did find it tasted better w/ a few packets of equal. Some people add sugar and milk. What is your take on tea; what flavors might be good to try for someone who likes the taste of sweet drinks (ie juice, vanilla cappucino from the gas station!) and wants to reap the benefits of tea (I’ve read that green tea’s antioxidants might help prevent certain cancers?! from all of the antioxidants). What do you add to your tea?
Thanks for your personal opinion!!
Krista
January 13, 2010 at 3:27 pmI have tried to love drinking tea… but I just don’t. Coffee is where it is at for me, but I do try to limit how much I drink because it messes with my stomach.
Chelsea (Chelsea's Chew and Run Fun)
January 13, 2010 at 3:32 pmThat salad looks delicious. What brand of tortillas have you been using? Can I find them at Whole Foods?
Also, totes understand about the cat/bag situation. I don’t even let my mom know about my dating life until it’s serious, let alone the blog world.

January 13, 2010 at 4:43 pmI don’t think you are being passive aggressive (as one commenter wrote). You should be allowed to keep these things private since, as you pointed out, so much of your life is public! π Plus, maybe it’s just too early to be divulging details of who you’re dating. Good luck!

January 13, 2010 at 4:44 pmOh I want the shorts and the man please!!
Jenna you working at the desk and doing yoga – totally reminds me of a book I read (and reviewed on my site if you want to check it or just google!) called “Stuck in Downward Dog” by Chantal Simmons.
Jealous!!!
I drink so much tea, hot chocolate and coffee most days that I feel like I’m floating and bloated…oye… yet I continue to do so…

January 13, 2010 at 5:01 pmI rocked sriracha on my dinner. It’s just so wonderful!
Good for you keeping your dating life private. A girl’s gotta have a little modesty and privacy! π
Karen
January 13, 2010 at 5:03 pmvery funny what Chelsea said about not even telling her own Mom…it’s so true, my daughter is very tight lipped when it comes to her relationships, even with me…glad to see it’s not just her…..Guys don’t like the whole world to know about everything, they think girls talk too much anyways, nice to keep things private between the two of you. I just switched to tea, after going to Trevana I am no hooked on the loose tea, simmered,

January 13, 2010 at 5:22 pmIt’s your life and of course you can divulge (or not!) whatever you want to dear Jenna!
And besides do you all think a fella would really want to be mentioned in the early days of dating?I doubt it!
Privacy is very important.I don’t understand why some feel a blogger “owes” their reader any personal info.Maybe some get a bit too attached to the blog and consider it a diary instead of a blog. But a diary is soooo different from a public blog.
I do appreciate all the beautiful things you have shared about your brother though Jenna and I know that is so personal. Thanks for opening your heart to us about him. When I read your blog I often think of him even though you are all strangers. You have touched us deeply-bless you!
