Breakfast/ Lunch

TGIS

Hi guys!

Thank God its Saturday!!!!!!!! Yay! 🙂 I can’t wait for my bestie to get here and to start celebrating her late birthday (her birthday was last week) with the concert tonight. I haven’t seen her for a whole year so we have some major catching up to do!

This morning I was going to have one of my rolls and an omelet, but when the time came I was CRAVING more of that delicious hazelnut butter that I got in my surprise package yesterday! So, I made oatmeal with 1/2 cup multigrain cereal, 1/2 cup silk, 1 banana, 1 spoonful ground flax, 1 scoop hazelnut butter and a drizzle of maple syrup on top.

Creamy and hazelnuty!

Later on, I had this Think Organic bar for a snack…

And a turkey/hummus sammie on protein bread with an apple for lunchie:

I got home from work around 3:00 and had a muesli cereal bar for a pre-yoga snack

I just ADORE how soft and chewy these Carman’s bars are!

I’m about to do a 60 minute heart opening flow but it might be a tad painful because I am SO SORE today. Seriously! From my legs all the way up to my shoulders. I can’t even lift my arms above my chest….well I CAN, but it hurts. I had to lift and carry heavy things all day long at work and it was quite uncomfortable. People, that’s what holding warrior two will do to ya!!!!!! I knew I would be sore when I held the pose longer than usual yesterday, but my shoulders and triceps are much sorer today than they have ever been from lifting weights.

I don’t know why I’m still so surprised on how sore I get from yoga….its like I think lifting weights is a “harder workout” (not true) but it never makes me feel the same way yoga does. Technically I should know better than to think that. When I was a senior in college and practicing 6x a week, I was in the best shape of my life (and I didn’t do any cardio or weights at the time…only yoga class). My obliques and lower abs are killing me today too. Every time I laugh I feel it….haha 🙂

I made tons of bread today at work including my favorite—bagels!

I took one home and will probably eat it tomorrow—

I’m so happy because tomorrow is my day off!!!!!! And then next week is my LAST week! That means a week from right now, I will home in Tampa getting ready to exchange presents with the boy (we picked the 20th to celebrate “our” Christmas because we are going to NC on Christmas and the 20th is our half anniversary—2 1/2 years!) and then go to a Christmas party.  It will be so weird staying home longer than a weekend. I’ve never actually lived in Tampa…I’ve only drifted in and out in between schools and vacations. I can’t wait!

I’ll probably be back to post dinner before I head out tonight. Christie won’t be getting in until around 7 and the concert is at 8 so I will be eating something simple here before all the action starts.

See you in a bit!

That’s so funny! The 20th is the boyfriend’s and my “half” anniversary as well! You all have a year on us though (we’ll be celebrating 1 1/2 years!). We also decided to exchange gifts and have our Christmas on the 20th since we will be with our respective fams for Christmas. Great minds 😉

I lived in Florida my whole life but moved up to NC when I graduated from college a year ago. Enjoy it up here!! It’s beautiful!

    Jenna,
I just downloaded a bunch of the free 20 minute yoga downloads. I did the beginning runners after my run today. But all I had was sound. Is it a video or just audio? I am just making sure I did not download it wrong. I only know a few basic poses so I am going to have to save the pose guide.
    Thanks!

    Kelly,

It is Arnold’s Double Protein Bread. 2 slices contain a whopping 14 grams of protein!

    Cassidy,

Yep—its just sound, no video. That’s why I highly recommend newbies to attend classes a yoga studio so they can get the poses right before attempting to do it on their own with no instruction. The pose guide definitely helps but be sure you have the right postures….you don’t want to tweak your back or hurt yourself!

Mmmmm Yay for only one week left!!!! 🙂

I completely agree about yoga. I love it so much. I go through phases where I’m super into running but other times (like this week with final exams) I’m more into yoga. I love the yogadownload ones. I was studying all day yesterday so I did the free 20 minute lunar series last night. Not only did I feel so great and stretched out afterward but I was also so ready to focus and finish my studying. I need to start buying some of the longer ones. I just love how yoga makes me feel so strong but I can do it right in the comfort of my house in front of the fireplace. 🙂 Love it! Thanks for introducing us to that site.

    Have fun tonight!!!

Mmmm…turkey and hummus sounds yummy! Hope you have fun with your friend. Sounds like fun. And you’re right (from your previous post), God does know what he’s doing time wise even though sometimes we don’t agree! I need to get one of those studies. My church does the Beth Moore ones, but with my schedule, I can’t make it to the weekly meeting things.

    Hi Jenna,
    How are you doing?

    As usual a few questions:
What kind of multi grain hot cereal do you use
    and
What do you think of the Think organic bars?

    Have a great Sunday!!!
