Hey y’all! I saw some earlier tweets that the blog was down….I have no idea! It obviously isn’t down anymore so maybe it was just a high traffic period—no worries!
This afternoon I worked at the coffee shop on my latest True/Slant article, which sort of recaps the past few days of Top Chef action. While I wrote, I had a decaf nonfat hazelnut latte and an apple—
What did I do before Flying Goat Coffee?! Seriously.
And then tonight I had dinner at a friend’s house. Had a small glass of one of my very favorites, Layer Cake!
And to eat, Israeli couscous with dried blueberries, gorgonzola cheese and pine nuts with roast chicken and salad. It was deeelicious!
The most amazing chocolate EVER for dessert….
Dark chocolate, how I love thee. Especially when you are filled with Grappa and imported from Paris. mmmmmmmm 🙂
***
I’m calling it an early night tonight. I need to catch up on my sleep from the past few days of craziness and want to wake up early and go to the gym before my 9 am conference call before work.
Sweet dreams!

November 4, 2009 at 10:43 pmMmm israeli couscous – so chewy and delicious. I only discovered it a few months ago and now am learning how versatile it is. Ready in five, or slow prepare it with savory herbs, toast it first, have it with cinnamon for a sweet version. Warm and cold even.
I hope you have a good night full of peaceful dreams (and lots of ankle healing rest).

November 4, 2009 at 11:49 pmI love Dark Chocolate 🙂

November 5, 2009 at 3:49 amA hazlenut latte sounds so good right now. I love Starbucks, I’ll admit, for it’s drink predictability/consistency, but there really is nothing quite as special as having your own neighborhood cafe to curl up in.
That cous cous sounds insanely good, as does the chocolate! Get some rest you busy bee!

November 5, 2009 at 5:40 amI’ve never been a dark chocolate fan . . . only milk chocolate, well really I’m not too bad with chocolate so I guess it’s okay . . . chips is my weakness, oh delicious crunchy salty chips.

November 5, 2009 at 9:10 amYum on that chocolate! I’ve been trying to convince myself to by a Vosdges milk chocolate bacon bar, but 7.50 feels so expensive to pay for chocolate. I just rocked out my midterm so maybe I’ll “reward” myself with it
