I have been reading your blog for a few years, can’t remember how I happened upon it. But, you are such a delightful person to follow. I love your recipes, your monthly “favorites” and just everything.
I am so happy for you and your husband. Cherish each moment. There is something very special about your first child, and the first pregnancy, I think that it’s because it’s just the two of you, with no distractions, which allows you to really live the pregnancy together, intimately. You look incredible. Praying for a safe pregnancy and delivery!

A friend called me today to say that she was 12 weeks, and then I read this! She’s also already showing! SO SO excited for you. Congratulations!

Congrats! I am 11 weeks along with twins! I must have the mommy-to-be intuition, but as a long time reader (and limited commenter) I had a gut feeling that your announcement would come soon. Enjoy this time, I can’t wait to hear if your first trimester was as interesting (read: nauseating) as mine!

Jenna. I haven’t commented in years. I was a loyal reader back in the “baby” stages of the blog when you were still in culinary school and living in Florida. I cannot believe how long you have been blogging and I have been reading. Congrats on the your little bundle of joy that will be joining your family very soon! I just wanted to know that I love your honesty and your dedication to healthy eating, but not to the extent of restricting.

Jenna, Congrats and I am so happy for you and Adam. I have been following your wonderful blog for about a year now and it just makes me happy everytime I look at it. You are my mentor of everything Id like to become in the future as I have a degree in English, do am yoga with Rodney Yee 4 days a week, substitute teach and love to cook. I made your slow cooker chicken tikka masala this weekend and everybody in my family loved it and I am eating it right now on my conference period at school. Thanks for every thing happy and praying for a blessed delivery for you.

Congratulations! I know SO many people who have recently gotten pregnant. I think there’s something in the water?!

Hi Jenna, I have been following your post and enjoying your recipes for a couple years now (at least). It’s strange, but in a way, I feel like we are friends..;0) It has been a long time since I have visited Eat Live Run, because my 8m old son has been keeping me very busy. Instead of cooking for me and my husband, I spent most of my time preparing baby food and coming up with fun flavors to mix together for our son-Rio.

When I found out you were pregnant and read your pregnancy journal, it brought back many recent (yet they feel so long ago) and forgotten memories of my pregnancy (warning nostalgia alert!!). There are pros and cons to every stage and when your in it, it may feel like time is passing slow (esp the first 3m) but then time flies and you wonder how the little baby you used to be able to take to mama & baby yoga and do squats with him while holding him in one hand has developed into a 18 pound baby that is crazy curious about the world around him- so curious that he NEVER stops moving;)

Anyways, I’m in memory land and this post is getting to be a bit long…if theres anything I can share with you it’s these few things:

on delivery day, trust your body…it is wise and knows what to do (I had a home birth and would never do it any other way (3 days of labor though, but in a relaxed environment and at home)

Everyone around you will have advice and it will all be different and contradictory- you and Adam will figure it out together one step at a time.

Something that I would have done differently: figure out how you will address your baby’s sleep. We didn’t think about this much. But when baby is finally, out, it becomes a big topic and one you can’t ignore. Thinking about it now, is much nicer than when you both are sleep deprived and baby is a night time monster…;)

Again, very happy for you both. This is such a beautiful time in your lives, enjoy it and take a babymoon (or 2 or 3) before baby arrives because once he does, it will always be a party of three.
