Bye, Bye Schoolnights!

Hello my lovelies!

I’ve had quite the fun filled afternoon with packing and studying for my wine final tomorrow morning. Just kidding. It has been anything but exciting but at least I got a good part of the kitchen and bathroom packed up. Thank goodness Ryan is coming Friday night to help me because I live on the third floor and there’s no elevator! We will get a workout for sure….!

I did manage to hit up the gym though—here’s what I did:

2 minutes on treadmill to warm up

2 sets of triceps kickbacks —10 lbs, 15 reps

2 sets of biceps curls on cable machine—10 lbs, 15 reps

2 sets of seated row—50 lbs, 15 reps

2 sets of pushups—15 reps

2 sets of lat pulldowns—50 lbs, 15 reps

2 sets of shoulder press—10 lbs, 15 reps

2 sets of bicycle crunches—20 reps

2 sets of “twisty” leg crunches—15 reps (these kill!)

2 sets of crunches with legs at 90 degrees—25 reps

Total workout time= 30 minutes

When I got home I snacked on a HUGE crispy red apple and a reduced fat string cheese:

Look at that gigantic apple! Isn’t it amazing? I just loooooove really crispy red apples. I wait for them all year and then eat tons and tons during the fall!

Dinner tonight was sort of random but it worked. I had a tuna sandwich on whole wheat bread with a pear.

Into the chunk light tuna I mixed a spoonful of nayonaisse, and then I added spinach, jalepinos and bread and butter pickles to make it a true sammie! All of our cooking utensils and equipment (ie pots and pans) are now all packed up so I have to make due with what I’ve got!

For dessert I had a soy pudding topped with a big bite of brownie. This was amazing.

I’ve still got tons of studying to do for tomorrow. I need to go out on a great note since it’s my last day of school EVER (well unless I decide to go to grad school in the future….). That means tonight is my last “schoolnight” since tomorrow night I’m going to dinner with the girls (sadly no wine bar anymore) to celebrate!

Have a great night folks!

    Hello!
I was wondering if you rinse your tuna before eating it or if you just drain the excess liquid?

Also I’ve tried soy yogurt and liked the flavor, but it gave me stomach problems a bit. So I was wondering if you thought that pudding would maybe have the same affect on me? It sounds really good and I want to find a “healthier” pudding to eat but I’m not sure if I should buy it! Thanks for any suggestions!

    Laura,

Hmmmm perhaps you are allergic or sensitive to soy? In that case I would not try these because, like the yogurt, they do contain soy. My dad is the same way. He can’t drink soymilk! If he does, he gets a bad tummy ache. Definitely respect your body and if it hurts, don’t try it! As for the tuna, I’ve never heard of rinsing it? I drain it, but that’s it.

I made your brownie recipe and it was DELICIOUS! And I, too, love big red crispy apples. You must try the honeycrisp apple… absolutely the best apple ever. 🙂
