Hello, hello!
Don’t hate me but the weather is absolutely phenomenal outside so I am making this quick because Christie and I are about to lay by the pool and read……I wish you were here though!!!! 🙂
This morning I hovered over my laptop for a couple hours while talking on the phone to Zesty Cook, trying to make the blog a better place. There’s so much I want to do that I have no idea how to do (like organize my recipe section) so it helps to talk to such a professional! Hopefully cool things are in the future! For lunch, I had my favorite:
I heated one of these bad boys up and stuffed it into a whole wheat pita with a laughing cow, lettuce and chopped red onion.
I also had a super yummy applesauce
And a piece of organic dark chocolate with mint:
Because I had been glued to my laptop all morning, it was definitely time to take a breather after lunch. Christie and I went and walked around the little beach shops while she looked for a christmas present for her roommate and I just browsed…but ended up buying myself a present! These super cute Vera Bradley laptop cases were on sale 25% off so I had to get one….
I rationalized buying this because I definitely NEEDED it because I take my laptop everywhere and usually just end carrying it, which can lead to disasters like the time I dropped my laptop on concrete in Paris and lost everything. Not good. I’m sort of a walking disaster so I should be more prepared :/
Now no more presents for Jenna….Christmas is coming!!!!!

December 15, 2008 at 12:41 pmJenna I was finally able to find the sugar cookie sleigh ride hot tea in the store and had to try it out! It taste really good, and I love the fact that you don’t need any milk or sugar…it’s great just by itself. Enjoy that sunshine!

You have introduced me to so many cool things that I was even telling my supervisor today (and she was very interested because we work in a health promotion office)! I brought in the Tamales Verdes, which you introduced me to — yum yum!
But I’m still working on breaking the diet coke habit! It’s tough! I’m completely off the caffeinated ones, which is a step in the right direction, but I’m trying to go to water, and I hate plain water. Any tips?

Hmmm…you could try a squeeze of lemon in your water? Honestly I don’t think diet coke is satan….I enjoy a little bit at work every now and then. I think drinking one in moderation is different than drinking 6 a day! You could also try iced herbal teas!

I am so jealous you are laying by the pool and relaxing! You deserve a day to rest and relax! I was actually thinking the same thing you posted about this morning (needing to listen to your body). I’ve been working really hard and working out really hard and now its really starting to wear me out. So, I’m taking a time out to get some resting in too. Love what you’ve done with the header…I should have told you that when I emailed last week, but I don’t think it was up yet…enjoy hanging with your bff! Love the vera by the way!! =)

December 15, 2008 at 4:33 pmIt’s snowing here. I love it, but the nice warm sun sounds pretty good too. I need to back up my laptop…just in case. I’ve drop kicked my cell phone a few times. The “kick” was my attempt to save it, but always causing more damage =)
