Mornin’!
Yesterday I wished for sunshine and here it is! Now if it was only 20 degrees warmer……beggars can’t be choosers I guess. The good news is that in three weeks I will be basking in the glorious southern sun at Folly Beach when I go to Savannah and Charleston for a week over Easter. Mmmmmmmmm 🙂
I woke up at 2 a.m. and thought it was 7. Don’t ya love that? I finally figured it out and fell back to sleep till 6:30 then had some overnight oats for breakfast:

Combination of 1/3 cup oats, 1 T chia seeds, 1/3 cup soymilk, 1/4 cup water, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 T peanut butter, cinnamon and agave. With half a huge grapefruit!
I’m letting my oats digest then heading outside for a quick 2 mile run before meeting the girls at the studio for a strength circuit workout. Then, just writing for the rest of the day (no more baking!).
Catch ya later!

March 9, 2010 at 7:40 amI love when that happens… the opposite happened to me last night. Right before I drifted off to sleep, I remember thinking that I was cold and that perhaps I should go get a blanket. I woke up at 7 am this morning, and it felt like a few MOMENTS later and I swear I still had that same thought in my head. My night passed by in a blink and I don’t feel like I slept at all! Arghghg!

March 9, 2010 at 7:41 amSunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta love it – but I hear ya on the 20 degrees warmer thing. It’s sunshiney and gorgeous in Paris, but around 30*. BRRR!
Hope your day is lovely – and hope you get some rest too. Something must have been in the air – I did the same thing last night! Woke up around 4:30 thinking it was time to start my day!
Hope you have a great one 🙂

March 9, 2010 at 7:47 amYAY for sunshine! We are having a cloudy/drizzly week, but the sun was out for my run yesterday and it made all the difference. Perma grin on my face…yep, I was that girl. 😉
Love the 2am fakeouts!

March 9, 2010 at 7:59 amIt is sunny here, but in the 20s! I could go for a lot more warmth! 🙂

March 9, 2010 at 8:03 amThat’s the best feeling in the world, waking up and thinking it’s almost time to get up and then realizing you can have about 4 hours more sleep!

March 9, 2010 at 8:16 amHi Jenna,
I know that you’re so RIDICULOUSLY busy (in such a fun, exciting way!), but I was wondering if you were planning on making a visit down the coast before you start your Paris adventures? Sunny Southern California would love to see you before you go! =)

March 9, 2010 at 10:39 amTiffany,
I would LOVE to go down to SoCal before I leave….trying to figure out the logistics of a trip….I want to!!!
eatmovelove,
Hmm most important tool? I’d say a good set of knives! And no, I do the majority of my writing at the coffee shop or in the library…at not at night. I’m a morning person and usually shut off my laptop for good around 8:30 every night. As for eating at night…I find if I eat a good dinner and have a small satisfying dessert, I’m fine. You have to be disciplined, I suppose! Don’t keep stuff around the house that you know you will snack on!

March 9, 2010 at 8:16 amAs a baker/cooker – what’s your most “important”/”needed” kitchen tool Jenna?
Also, do you do most of your writing at home? At night or during the day? I find I am so lazy after work and just can’t get myself together…plus I eat all night long when I’m home…is that a problem for you?
Love cinnamon too.
Cynthia (It All Changes)
March 9, 2010 at 8:19 amI had a morning like that. I woke up at 6.30 and realized I didn’t need to be up until 7.30 so I enjoyed snuggling back under the covers.

March 9, 2010 at 8:53 amI’ve definitely woken up thinking it was morning, showered, and gotten all ready before realizing it was still 2am…maybe I should check the clock a little more closely, haha.
Glad its sunny there, enjoy the weather!

March 9, 2010 at 9:05 amDid you like overnight oats from the first time you tried them? I’m asking because I just recently made them and they weren’t as great as I thought they would be. Wondering if it is something I will grow to like over time.

March 9, 2010 at 3:06 pmHey Jenna,
So excited for your transition!!! Enjoy the sunshine:) I’m sure this has been addressed but what appliance do you use to make your green monsters? I use my cuisinart blender but it takes several minutes and seems like a struggle to get the ice/frozen blueberrise crushed etc. Any thoughts on the magic bullet/ninja/or anything else. A juicer isn’t in the budget.
Thanks,
Kara
